Easy to use, sticks very well, simple to apply, easy to cut to fit with utility scissors. Once applied properly these can be vacuumed. I use a roller broom as the suction from the vacuum rolled up a corner that wasn't cut perfectly square. A little carpet tack adhesive fixed that just fine. The difference in the room is like night and day. Went from ugly cold echo creating tile to a beautiful carpeted space in a few hours. You can take your time it doesn't have to be done all at once. The colour is a smoke gray and very pleasant to the eyes, compliments the decor and softens the room, the noise, and keeps it warmer than tile and won't slip like a rug could. It would be very good to use for noise reduction in rooms used for gaming or music or sewing machine noises are. I'm considering other spaces I could use these... they are great ... show more

    • Novel usage - DIY desk top surface

I was building my own computer desk. The issue was finding an inexpensive top for the desk. While I was a woodworker, living an apartment, I no longer have that luxury of a wood shop. A cheap solution would be a couple of sheets of 2 x 4 x 1/2 plywood screwed together. But how to finish it? Since I planned to record audio, so I hit on the idea of carpeting the top of the desk. The idea was to reduce audio reflections from the desk to the downward facing microphone. Not finding a reasonable local alternative, I ordered these carpet tiles. Stuck them to my painted OSB (cheaper than plywood) table top to finish it off. Quick and easy install without any rough edges or gaps between tiles. Surprising benefits were comfort for the hands, durability and easy to clean (just vacuum). The keyboard doesn't slid around, yet mouse works without a mouse pad (but I still use one). The gray color and fabric also are non-reflecting of light. So easier on the eyes too. Easier on eye glasses resting on the desk too. ... show more

I ordered these to line the "dry" cabinets in our camp trailer, after seeing carpet-lined cabinets in a very high end motorhome in the showroom of the rv dealer. The carpet tiles are the perfect size for our little trailer cabinets, and I am so pleased with how they turned out! I like that they are not super thick, making them easy to cut to fit, and while they are not super sticky, it actually works to be able to pull up and re-stick if needed to get them placed perfectly. I'm not sure I would want to use them as actual flooring without using a heavier duty adhesive, but if you want to line your cabinets or such for noise reduction and a little extra padding, they work great! ... show more

These squares were about $1.00 per square and were perfect for the job! I just moved into a new-to-me house where the laundry room is inside and not in the garage. I had the crew that replaced the carpet with wood floors but didn't have time (prior to moving in) to tile the laundry area. The crew took up the old vinyl tiles but the floor was sticky and icky. For the time being, these carpet tiles are perfect until I save money and have time to install tile. These carpet tiles are not padded in case anyone wanted to use these as "normal" carpet substitutes. They are perfect for garage, laundry, covered porch type areas were you don't want concrete but need something more permanent then a rug. ... show more

Color is true to description, stick wonderful. Patterns go different so I laid them out first and separated the 2 patterns before putting them down. They are on my cement basement steps that are somewhat cold and they are sticking perfect. Easy to vacuum.

I bought 42 boxes of tan color carpet tiles for attic flooring. I found 4 or more different colors after 10 boxes installing and some tiles were not enough adhesive. Thus, I sent 5 emails through 2 different email address to complain about this to Achim and tried to call Achim as well. But Achim never replied to my emails and no answer to my calling. Very disappointed to Achim. I do not recommend tan color carpet tiles to the person who wants to install same color of carpet tiles. Achim is very difficult to contact. ... show more

On a whim, I made my older cat a ramp so he could get up to the counter where we feed him (we have dogs, so he needs a private place to eat). The ramp didn't turn out as planned and I don't think our cat has used it once, but the stick-on carpeting I used to add traction went on very well and looks quite good. It was very easy to stick on and then trim with a utility knife. This is one of the less expensive carpet tiles and it seems perfect for projects like this.
