Description

The Shark SD110 CNC Machine features a compact 12'' x 18'' table designed for projects such as carving plaques or signs, ornamental boxes and precision parts machined from wood, soft metals, or plastics. Run the SHARK SD110 CNC Machine from either the included touchscreen pendant or your computer. To use the pendant, create the project using the included VCarve design software and transfer it to a USB drive. The USB is then plugged into the pendant. For more challenging projects and added versatility, connect your computer to the SHARK SD110 with the USB cord and run your CNC machine with the Ready2Control software. This will allow you to use the Virtual Zero Unlimited programming, which adjusts your design to fit the curves and angles of your substrate. • Contrary to user's manual this is NOT a machine for people with a basic computer knowledge.
Although I am certain this machine will do what I want when and if I can eventually learn how to use it. The user's manual lacks basic user information even for those that have a basic knowledge of computers. I have worked with wood working for 50 years and I used a computer at work all the time. This is NOT an easy machine to learn for the first time user. And for that I hate it ... show more

  • Workable space is limited
I bought second level mill at 12 by 16 to do boards but buyer beware, the gantry is such that you only get 10” in the Y axis, so it’s 12x10. Works great but I fool it by swapping drive cables. Wish I bought a bigger one. BTW they tell you too, I missed it.

  • too much flex in the gantry
don't but any next wave shark cnc! i'm literally selling my shark 120 for half the price of new after a few months of using it- the whole gantry is made from plastic. not aluminum like the other cnc units out there. repeatability is horrible and i can actually watch the tool deflecting as it moves because the of the plastic gantry. wish I knew before I bought it. even the plastic collar that secures the router to the carriage gantry cracked. called next wave to ask about it- their response was to make a new one from aluminum! imagine telling a customer that? machine works best with light cuts only in soft wood. no idea why they thought plastic gantry would suffice when all the other manufacturers are using aluminum gantry! ... show more
