Love the thought and design; however, it is not, charging headset at all. Place the headset in all the colors change and it actually decreases the power in the headset. Could I have a bad one off product?

Edit: I purchased the Meta official charging dock, which I have to say is MUCH better than this. The magnetic connector for the headset is much stronger and the stand is able to pivot, allowing it to charge reliably with the Meta elite battery strap. This charging dock only charges the headset and controllers, whereas the official dock can also charge the elite strap battery pack. Just go with the Meta official dock. Original review: I am honestly quite baffled by the negative reviews here. This charging dock is everything a Quest user could ask for. It’s super sleek and compact, and even smaller than you might think. Great for display and storage. It charges both the headset and the controllers at the same time, with a nice LED indicator for charging status. There is even a headset charging indicator LED that wraps around the whole unit. There is a switch to turn the LED lights on and off. As long as you follow the instructions carefully and install the batteries correctly, everything should work just fine. Also make sure the dock, controllers, and headset all remain stationary, and that all magnetic connectors on the controllers and headset are making contact with the dock. The package includes a charging cable and dock, custom battery covers, and two pairs of rechargeable batteries. They are rated for 500+ charges each, so you will get 1000+ charges for the controllers! Overall, I think this is a fantastic charging solution for the Quest and accessories. You don’t have to worry if you have a third party head strap as there is nothing to obstruct it. The price point is also very fair for what you get, and a much better value for money than the Meta official dock. It’s super easy to install if you follow the directions. Just plug in the dock and drop your Quest and controllers right in after installing the rechargeable batteries and covers. The fit for the covers isn’t perfect, but they do stay on. Everything fits nicely in the dock, no issues there. Just make sure you line everything up correctly and you shouldn’t have any issues with disconnects. Neither the controllers nor the headset heat up when charging, so heat is not an issue either. Now, since I went over everything for you, do yourself a favor and purchase this dock. It took me a couple of days trying to figure out why the controllers were not charging. First I did not place the batteries facing properly to connect to the base. Secondly never notice the small clear plastic covering the prongs for it to connect to the base. Once I removed it and set the controllers down it lit up L & R and finally they were charging. The headset can be finicky if you have the BOBOVR HEAD STRAP. So make sure you place something under it to lift it so it connects to charge. Overall I am satisfied with this product. ... show more
