  • poor build quality and poorly-running bike
I've had another chinese-brand carb on my old '92 XT225 for about a year, but was plagued with clogged jets due to a rusty fuel tank. Taking it apart so many times to clean the jets ruined the sealing of the bowl to the carb, and even a new gasket didn't completely seal it. Bought this carb to just replace the whole thing, along with a brand new Clarke Mfg. fuel tank for the bike so I could move forward with a perfect fuel system, but this carb dumped fuel into the cylinder like no other! Tried everything to lean it out and get the bike to run properly, but nothing worked on this one. Rebuilt the first Chinese carb with the bowl and gasket from this one and it ran perfectly again, but still had a leak between carb and bowl. Ended up buying yet a third carb and amazingly, that one was identical to the first one and worked perfectly. Rather than send this junk back, I'll use it for parts down the road if the third one fails, although I don't see it happening, so long as I don't have to open it up to clean the jets. Its not worth the time and patience to return a 40 dollar carb anyways. ... show more

  • Worst carburetor ever
The slide is terrible the float doesn't work and the hose connection is too small it's just poorly built

  • Worked out of the box, then failed after 1 use.
Installed on a 01 ttr225. Fired right up first try after install, rode once, then was left to sit for a month. When attempting to start it just dumped fuel into the motor to the point where is would just flood it and would be unable to restart after just running a few minutes. Let bike sit and now its not getting any fuel. Would not recommend, seems to have float issues, going to replace with a different brand. ... show more
