  • Nice little anchor
Style Name: 5lb Mushroom Anchor
Pretty cool little anchor that's quality made. Rubberized coating is nicely done, rope is nice and smooth, and pretty long. Only downside to this anchor is it's weight, it will not hold you in place in windy conditions, bit I knew that before buying it. This is a small compact little thing that's easy to handle and it is quality made. Don't forget to re-tie knots a little better, and tighten the d ring bolt if you do not want to lose it, all manufacturers tie loose knots and you'd definitely loose it because of that. ... show more

  • Nice finish
Style Name: 5lb Mushroom Anchor
I liked this anchor so much that I ordered another one. It is heavy enough to keep my kayak from drifting yet light enough to be easily handled. It is finished very smoothly so it doesn't catch on anything especially skin. It is a quality made product.

  • Well-made, quality anchor. Retie the knots, though.
Style Name: 10lb Mushroom Anchor
I purchased the 10# version for a 14' inflatable dinghy that mostly sees freshwater use in the local rivers. For that, it's fantastic. No sharp edges to worry about in your inflatable and it won't snag too aggressively on the muddy bottoms of slow rivers and lakes. The finish is well applied and durable, the rope, carabiner and shackle are all top quality and its compact size means it doesn't take up a ton of space in a small craft. Pricing is very competitive, even against options lacking the backing of a company like Newport. Only downside are the knots that were used to secure the shackle and carabiner were not something I'd want to rely on. If you haven't already, look up how to tie an 'anchor hitch' for instructions for a more appropriate/secure knot to use. Otherwise, a great product that's easy to recommend. ... show more

  • Overall a good anchor for light use
Style Name: 15lb Mushroom Anchor
Bought this anchor for use on the river for our kayaks & floatables. Anchor has worked great, BUT don't use the knot that ties the rope onto the anchor. The knot it comes with is weak and you would stand a good chance of losing your anchor when trying pulling on it. We instead used a Trace-eight knot (frequently used in rock-climbing.) But the biggest bummer is that the storage bag is already ripping after a month of minimal use. ... show more

  • Keeps my kayak in place while fishing without getting snagged on the bottom,
Style Name: 5lb Mushroom Anchor
I use this when fishing in my kayak. It’s not too heavy, keeps me in place and doesn’t get snagged on the bottom of the lake.

  • Excellent anchor for Lake fishing on kayak
Style Name: 5lb Mushroom Anchor
High quality hardware. Not cheap by any means. Great price. Really digs in to lake bottom yet easily retrieved when it’s time to move. Have not been tangled In submerged branches or vegetation. Rope is virtually knot free and easily deployed. Check your tied ends every now and then and you will never have any trouble. ... show more

  • it is an anchor
Style Name: 5lb Mushroom Anchor
It sinks just like it should. Probably wouldn't hold a very big boat but I only use it for dive searches.

  • Good quality anchor
Style Name: 5lb Mushroom Anchor
This isn’t the best priced mushroom anchor, but it is nice. I use it for a 10.5’ kayak and it holds with zero issues. The rope and buoy are only 25’ or so, so be aware that you may need to add rope and that the bouy will be useless in water deeper than that. 25’ of line gets you anchored 12-15” deep water at best. ... show more
