  • (Updated after 2 month use) Returning product. Connectivity issue. Initially 5 stars
Color: red
After 1 month, I've changed the rating to 4 stars from 5. Primarily due to bluetooth connectivity. After about 2 month of use. I've changed the rating to 3 stars from 4, and returning the keyboard in favor of the RK Royal G68. 2 Month Finding. The keyboard continued to drop keys. I ordered an RK Royal G68 as a replacement and found that one, using Bluetooth (same adapter as before) connects without dropping keys. The key feel on the RK also feels better. More over, the RK allows connectivity over dedicated dongle, BT, or wired. Sadly, I'll be returning this keyboard and keeping the RK instead. 1 Month finding: Bluetooth connectivity is spotty. I have a USB bluetooth adapter plugged into the desktop. This is the second adapter I have used (used two different brands). When gaming, the keyboard will start to repeat keys after some time. This happens when gaming for some time and detracts from the value of the keyboard as a wireless one. I know the bluetooth adapter is fine because I have also used two Microsoft Xbox controllers in Bluetooth, and they both work fine (with or without keyboard also attached). Battery life: 20% / week is about accurate. The bottom right LED (fn key) changes from white, to blue, to green for each 20% charge depleted. I play a few hours per day in Back 4 Blood for several weeks and noticed white moves to blue at about the 1 week period. Final note: The Keyboard will switch to Function keys without requiring Fn being held down when you press Ctrl (left side) and Fn (right side). It's not well documented. in this mode, it appears as though half of the keys stopped working, but you just need to press the same combination again to toggle it off. This is actually a useful feature at times. === Original review, still holds true ==== This keyboard replaces the use case of my decade old Logitech Wave (still going strong). My requirements for finding a replacement are the following: 1. wireless - since I'm 10 feet away, wireless is a must. 2. compact keyboard so it fit better on limited space on my couch. In my case, it's on my lap 3. sturdy components and responsive key strokes. Mechanical switches are ideal, but I was open to others 4. battery life - the logitech wave has a 6+ month battery life on 2 AA batteries. I needed something that I don't have to charge every day / week. So far, points 1 - 3 are well met. Jury's still out on #4, as I have had insufficient time to test out the battery life. My thoughts after ~1 week of use. Wireless connection: keyboard supports BT3 and BT5, as well as being able to connect to 3 separate devices with a switch. I've been heavily gaming via BT5 connection to a cheap $10 USB BT adapter on my computer. The presses are responsive. Far better than I would imagine, since I thought a dedicated dongle was a must. Size: 60% size is perfect for use on my lap and storage. Glad I picked this form factor Key press and sturdiness. I have the red switch version of this keyboard. These are similar in feel to the Cherry Red switches I've used in the past, but do not feel identical - linear force, quieter than blue. The keys are slightly wobbly to my press, compared to my Logitech Mechanical Blue switch keyboard, but not enough to deter from gaming experience. The switches are also not as quiet as the Cherry Red I've used, but far better than the cherry blues I've used (even with O ring). Value of money: pretty good. The extra set of keycaps is nice. I swapped out the WASD keys as well as the arrow and function keys so they are highlighted on my keyboard. Usability: Let me start with the biggest notables: A lot of functionality - key presses such as page up, down, home, etc. are done with a combination of the Fn key (lower right corner) Same with the arrow keys, done on the bottom right keys as well. These buttons require the Fn key be pressed in combination with the others, rather than a toggle. I use the arrow keys frequently, but that's what you get with the 60% keyboard. The Fn actions are printed on the keycaps to make it a little easier. I also miss having a key for volume up and down. The LED controls (change colors, brightness, patterns, turn off led), also use the Fn key. This is not a big deal since I don't use it much. Those are my biggest complaints. Now for the parts I love: The keys feel very good to use, definitely better than the membrane keyboards. I can turn off most of the LEDs, with the only ones on being the Tab key, indicating battery life, and Fn key. I've gamed for at least 10 hrs with LEDs off, and the battery is still > 80%. At this projection, I estimate one charge cycle / month. The keyboard also charges via USB-C. Unlike cheaper keyboards, you can charge and use at the same time. The second set of keycaps are nice. I can also get different keycaps as well to snazz out the keyboard, but likely won't because existing ones work well. So overall, I do recommend a buy at this price point. There were several candidates that were $10 - $15 cheaper, but I am glad I purchased this one, as it's hit all of my needs and has been so sturdy. I will update this review regarding battery life, as time goes on. ... show more

  • Very nice keyboard but needs better manual
Color: blue
The keyboard is really nice. Love to use it for programming but the manual doesn't show all ways to use this, and the Bluetooth function is confusing. Also on Bluetooth for some reason as I'm typing some key inputs don't activate so that letter misses out. So I'm using wired for now till I can fix it or have it working again. Overall it is a nice and comfortable keyboard to use. ... show more

  • WOW… HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Color: blue
I have to say I never liked 60% keyboards, but let me tell you this was completely worth it. And for the cost was just beyond outstanding. I normally use a full keyboard with 10-key but this was a fun game changer. Switch and key quality was amazing, the comfort when typing was also perfect. This is also a nice starter if you want to start custom keyboard making as this does swap out switches and key caps. Highly recommend, and I just ordered 2 more and referred them to my co workers who also bought 2. One for home and one for work. ... show more

  • Great Entry Point
Color: brown
This is a great keyboard for the price. I got this with the brown switches and they sound great, except for one thing. If you listen carefully enough, you can hear the high-pitched spring after every keystroke. Other than that, they sound great. These keys also feel great- they're not very mushy and they're not very heavy on the hands. I know noise can be a concern, but the brown switches on this keyboard are at an OK level- they won't annoy anyone in another room. This is a great keyboard for a cool $40.00 USD- I strongly recommend buying it if you are looking for a strong entry point. ... show more

  • Feels great to type on!
Color: red
I love this keyboard. It connects through a cable or Bluetooth and I haven’t had connectivity issues. The Keyboard has layered rows and it feels nice. It’s an amazing experience to type on. And ofc also comes with great RGB.

  • Great for Gaming
Color: blue
Very nice compact keyboard. Clicky switches, and comes with a second set of keycaps. The keyboard will only work with a bluetooth connection, so you can't plug it in. That's the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars.

  • Its good, nothing else
Color: brown
Well, i was expecting to work fine with this keyboard, and for the 90% of the things i do, it did That 10% are shortcuts, are just painfull, i work as a developer and the is no easy way to get a "~", but that is something i dont need too much. The real struggle comes with shortcuts when selecting texts, you cant, you have to use your mouse to do that, cant work directly using Shift + <FN + arrow key> or Ctrl + Shift + <FN + arrows key> you have to toggle the mode using FN + Ctrl, and there is not "default" color on some key to know in which mode you are, so is a pain in that part. for a common user i think this would be a very goog keyboard, but only recommended if you dont need to type thing fast, select, copy and paste texts, make complex shortcuts is hard and not all posibilities can be reproduced in comparison with higher percent keyboards. In resume, its good, have good quality, good colors, the feeling whe typing those outemu swtiches is good, but if you plan to do complex things using your keyboard only, thing twice before you buy, but for the price its a great price/value product ... show more

  • Go for the GM840 not GM610
Color: red
I received this companies larger keyboard the GM840 and was a bit shocked at how good that model is. I figured the 60% would be just a smaller version, not at all similar to the 75% this company sells. Much cheaper keycaps, horrible switches. It sounds and feels like a $10 keyboard in comparison to their own slightly more expensive model. Only issue these two keyboards share is the two red keycaps both glow compared to the non opaque grey caps. ... show more

  • Great Keyboard Might buy one for work ass well
Color: red
I normally like to wait until I use something for a period before I submit a review. It also takes a lot to impress me. I am so impressed with this keyboard that I must write a review now. I took a chance on this keyboard because there were no reviews for it. I wanted a Mechanical keyboard that was 60%, had a hot-swappable PCB, and had re switches out the gate. This keyboard hit all those marks. The thing that really got my attention was that a second keycap set was included. I thought that this would be going to only be half a set. THEY INCLUDED A WHOLE SECOND KEYCAP SET. The packaging felt premium. Everything was placed in the box with care and the box and packaging are well thought out. Inside the box, there is the Keyboard, Braided USB C cable, Keycap puller, Switch puller, spare switches, and a full keycap set. The keyboard itself feels heavy and made of nice plastic. I got the red switches. I have six other Mechanical keyboards but none of them have red switches. I really like the feel of the switches as I am typing this out. Gaming is also a very fluid experience that I am impressed by. The keycaps feel good and I have no complaints here. The cable is USB C like all new electronics should. If you buy a mechanical keyboard, I recommend getting a better keycap and switch puller. The included ones are subpar at best. They will get the job done but for not that much you can get something a lot better. All in all, I would highly recommend getting this keyboard. If you are not a fan of Red switches, there are also Blue and Brown switches. I honestly feel like I spend $150 on this keyboard it is that nice. If you have read this far just buy it and you will not be let down. I am definitely going to be getting more Newman Electronic products. ... show more

  • Not the best budget keyboard
Color: red
I bought this keyboard for my cousin for his birthday and he’s had it for around a month now and he’s telling me that some of the switches aren’t working anymore (w,e,1,5) and I went over to help him and change some of those switches and I figured out that this keyboard isn’t hot swappable which is understandable for its price point. Instead of buying this keyboard I recommend spending a bit more and buying the royal kludge rk61 which is hotswappable with 3 and 5 pin switches at around 54 dollars ... show more

I really like this keyboard. I purchased the one with the brown switches and it sounds great! My only gripe is that the tab key is stuck on the color red. I believe it's supposed to be this way but I'm not sure. It's just a bummer when I want my entire keyboard a certain color and I'm stuck with this red lit up key in the top left corner. ... show more

  • Great 60% Keyboard
Color: red
The Newmen GM610 60% Keyboard is well built and has many features that you wouldn't expect at this price point Newmen seems to fly under the radar and there is very little on the internet about this under priced 60% Bluetooth wireless/wired keyboard. This board is not a cheap bare bones unit considering the onboard Bluetooth 3.0 and 5.0 and the ability to assign and quickly choose from three different devices via the onboard Bluetooth with a simple function key combination as well as a wired option with a USB -C connector. This little keyboard rivals the more expensive popular brand boards out on the market today. You have the option of blue, brown or red switches which should give most what they are looking for in a 60% board. I opted for the red switches which are just right for my needs of general typing and some gaming and they sound great without being annoyingly loud. The switches are hot-swappable 3-pin OUTEMU switches which have a wonderful feel and in my opinion is perfect right out of the box. The GM610 also comes with an extra full set of dark blue key caps and 14 red caps for the control /function keys which allows you to mix and match key colors for a custom look on your desktop. I don't think you can go wrong with this little keyboard for the price and custom options that come along with it. I am using this keyboard with my desktop Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8Gb and I am considering purchasing another one in the very near future so I can take one on the go with my portable Raspberry Pi Cyberdeck build. ... show more

  • The sounds of the keybinds are nice and answering some questions you might be wondering.
Color: red
The keyboard came in good condition and the keybinds aren't loud. They sound kinda satisfying. To change the color of the keyboard hold the FN key then click the space bar and it'll change color. To change the rgb mode hold FN and click the \| keybind to change the mode. If your keyboard is not working well like typing other stuff when your pressing a key for example, when you press the number keybinds it'll type something else and not the numbers or the delete button doesn't work. To fix that, hold the FN button and press the CTRL button at the left to fix that. Other than that. You can connect the keyboard to your phone or other devices. I can't connect it to the monitor yet. I hear something about a bluetooth adapter but I don't know. Under the keyboard there's a switch. Turn it to ON so you can connect to your phone or tablet. ... show more
