We have several similar types of these lights and they're really fun to change out. We got the multi-color and they are beautiful!!! I left them out in the sun to charge just to see what they looked like and the colors are very vibrant. We won't be putting them in the ground until later this fall, but I know they'll look festive in our landscaping. Update, 12/27/23 We put these up right after Thanksgiving and they each lasted almost exactly one month. One died and then the other three died the day after. These lights are wonderful. Very easy to assemble and set up and they last for several hours. So much easier than trying to string a long string around a bush or tree. Highly recommend them.

In my opinion, the solar collector panel is too small. They get a decent amount of sunlight, but only stay charged for about 2-2.5 hours, on average. With darkness falling around 5:30 -6 pm, they are spent pretty early in the evening. And yes, I removed the clear plastic cover from the panel. I have other string lights with larger collectors, located in the same area, and they are good for up to 6 hours. Not sorry I bought them (3 sets), but a little disappointed. ... show more

The first set of lights I received were defective. I was only able to see them in my windowless bathroom with the lights off and the nightlight unplugged despite them charging in full sun for two days. I returned them and I received replacements that are functional. They are delicate little lights. The little snowflakes will come off if you handle them roughly. They did charge up fully in one day. I did not test them to see how long they last. They do look pretty though. ... show more
