I bought these with the idea of taking them to the east coast in cold weather. I don't think they would be sufficient even though they are slightly lined. The lining is not very thick, and all it's really going to do is prevent cold air directly on your skin. I don't think it's sufficient for really cold weather. Having said that, and I live in Southern California, I think they will be excellent for going outside when the temps are in the '50s or maybe even high 40s at night. They fit well. I'm 5'8, 250# and mostly all legs. Thick around the waist. I ordered the 2XL and they fit perfectly. However, they are loose around the ankle. They won't accompany me on the trip back east but they'll be very comfortable going to or from in the airplane or just staying at home until I get back and wearing them the rest of the cold months. They do show a panty line, and they are leggings but loose around the ankle. So I'm going to have to wear shirts that are hanging down below that, not planned but I can make it happen. I'm very satisfied with the material, the quality of the pant, I think they were reasonably priced, and I'm going to enjoy them. I'm wearing them as I'm writing this! ... show more

I'm a plus-sized lady whose weight is constantly fluctuating as I do better or not so good with my dieting. I'm 72, have Hashimoto's disease (low thyroid) and like to keep my thermostat around 70 but am feeling the chill more and more. Never knew these existed, but recently tried them and was ecstatic. They're stretchy, soft inside and out, and the fleece definitely kills the chill! I wear them alone around the apartment, but will slip on a pair of slacks or jeans over them if I'm going outdoors. I really like these leggings. Wgioe they are not super thick they definitely keep my legs warm. The only thing I don't care for is the location of the pockets. I'm not sure if it's because I am petite but they just seem to be very oddly placed. But the pocket does easily hold my smartphone.

These are very comfortable and don't slide down. As long as I wear long shirts they're even flattering. They're warmer than I was expecting. We walk the dogs in temps in the low 20s. While my legs aren't toasty warm, I'm not cold either. Good enough that I haven't needed to start wearing my flannel or fleece lined pants. The 1st pair I got was the XXL which I ordered because of my weight and they're a bit baggy. Not enough that I felt I need to return them. I usually wear a size 16 so the 2nd pair I got is an XL. Perfect. It says to hand wash. I'm lazy so I put them in a sweater sized laundry bag washed them and then hung them up to dry. So far so good. My only wish is that I would prefer the side thigh pockets. My phone still fits in the front pocket well enough that it hasn't fallen out, but a side pocket would be more secure and comfortable. ... show more
