This is a great cushion. The waffle design makes it a lighter weight than a solid gell cushion, leaving it soft and flexible but still providing surprisingly good support and tailbone protection. I ordered this for kayaking (long float trips, hard seat), and it works beautifully for this. What I didn't anticipate was how great it also was for the long car ride to the site and for use on breaks along the kayaking route for sitting on rocks, picnic benches, etc. The non-slip bumps on the bottom of the cover help it stay in place on uneven surfaces. Thankfully both the cushion and removable cover seem reasonably durable and are easy to clean after a muddy wet trip. It's well worth it's weight to pack in and take camping/hiking/fishing.
