I use this cushion in a 14 foot jon boat. The boat had a a swivel seat in front of the motor that hindered operation of the tiller. The seat rusted out and I replace it with this simple cushion. It is more comfortable and I can move it around as needed to shift my location and weight in the boat. I did sit in it in my kayak although not in the water but it is a nice wide comfortable fit and doesn't slide around like some others I tried. I thought it would be dual purpose for my office chair but not so good for that, I think the design is really conducive for the laid back sitting position in a kayak rather than the upright sitting position in a chair. I'll reserve the 5 star until I get to spend a few hours in the boat with it and see if it alleviates the sore back & butt from being in it for a long time. ... show more

Couldn’t sit still more then 30 minutes without something hurting and being uncomfortable put this on my kayak seat fished for 4 hours didn’t even realize I was so comfortable until I got off the kayak and realized I was sitting on it and wasn’t hurting

    • Not as comfortable as hoped
When I think of gel I think of a gel enclosed in a membrane. I knew these were not that but wanted to give them a try. They are really a soft plastic honeycomb seat. They are better than nothing but not as comfortable after two hours in a kayak as I hoped. I returned them.
