Carburetor is junk I waited to long before I put it on my truck to find out it was junk to send it back put it on my truck wouldn't run very good then wouldn't start at all pulled fuel line make sure pump was working it was so pulled carb apart wasn't even a wire holding the needle so had to get a new one for that then put back together of course leaked so got carb kit still didn't want to run right after adjusting it then started leaking from accelerator pump it was tore got another kit got it to run little better for about an hour now its leaking out the accelerator pump again probably a bur or something in the hole cutting the rubber so guess I need to figure something else out I've never had this much problems with a carburetor before ... show more

This carburator exceeded my expectations! It replaced the 50 year old carburator from my 1973 Camaro RS LT, (which had been rebuilt many times in it's lifetime). The main difference I noticed is the weight..the old was 9.5 pounds, and the new weighs 5.5 pounds. It has not affected its performance. I did adjust the idle slightly to my liking, and idle mixture screws a quarter turn to my liking, which is individual preference anyway. The car runs absolutely better than I anticipated! Would not hesitate to buy one again, (for my next project)! ... show more

After adjusting this carb it is a good carb but it was adjusted wrong. A brass float is adjusted differently than a plastic float. The important thing is to adjust so the high center of the float isn’t touching the top of the chamber. It overflowed after the first time starting it. See a lot of people have this complaint. Then it failed emission standards miserably as delivered. I’ve had the top off of this too many times trying to set it. In the end the #33 jets with the primary jets you installed it passed emissions test. Just took it on a 300 mile round trip without an issue. I installed it on a 454 chev big block 7.4 now I question if the jets you provided could set this carb for a small block since I’ve tried almost every possible setting and only got smoke with every other try. It ran as delivered but not right and if customer isn’t pushing 500 horse power or more then it will not work. Way too much fuel. Great carb very responsive steady power. I’d buy again but knowing it needs to be opened and rejetted and float adjusted not plug and play. Thundermingo have you ever installed on an engine and tried? Not jetted like my stock gm carb came. So buyers open it up set the float properly and install #33 jets and you MIGHT LOVE IT ... show more

I installed this on my old 1973 Chevy K10 4WD 350 SB 2 weeks ago and I have had no real issues. It was very easy to install. Had to take a few small parts off old Rochester carburetor and put them on this one. I primed the bowel a few times and it stated right up. It was already pretty much pre tuned for my truck, I adjusted the idle and fuel mixture just a bit. One issue I had was the throttle assembly was a little dry and I had to spray some oil on moving parts to get all the barrels to open up etc. My truck runs much quiter now. I took it out off road and hauled 3/4 tons of gravel in a sandy Arizona wash while in 4WD with no hiccups or problems. ... show more

    • Not worth the money spent!
Received the box in good condition. When new carb was installed it wouldn’t idle long enough to adjust. It kept loading up and flooding. The primary jets had no markings as to size so had no idea which direction to go. I ended up using the new throttle plate only. I would not recommend this carb to anybody. My 72 Chevy truck deserves better than this. I wouldn’t even give it one star. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Decent Quality for off brand. Fired right up and adjusted mixture for a smooth idle. No bogging or anything. Only thing I would change is the throttle arm, it sit really low and scrapes intake manifold if not using the supplied spacer gasket.

Had an old Edelbrock it had bad gas in it replaced the gas tank, clean the carburetor reinstalled it wouldn’t run died as soon as you put it in gear bought this because it was original equipment on the Chevy. I was working on installed it did hardly any adjustment and it ran like a top, great product would buy for every car I work on that has a carburetor ... show more
