Benzel peroxide has a bleaching effect on towels and clothing. This is a known thing, so it's not like it was a surprise to me. I have super sensitive skin, but Neutrogena has always been my go to. When I do use this consistently, I feel like my face stays pretty clear. I would recommend this product, buy just be sure to be careful with clothing. I had tried trentonin, antibiotics, hormones, everything to get rid of my adult acne around the t zone. While it wasn't horrible it was still painful and frustrating having more pimples than I did as a teenager. I decided to try this on reviews. It is the only thing that worked! It works so well I only occasionally get a pimple every few months! However I do have to use it daily across my entire t zone, I don't use this as a spot treatment, but as a preventative. Back in Feb I started breaking out in the worst breakout I’ve ever had in my life. It was red and inflamed and hurt so much. I was too embarrassed to even leave my house. I was so afraid to try any new products for fear of making it worse. But I used benzeclin in high school by prescription and found this product online that was just the benzoyl peroxide. I was desperate and ordered it. The super red and inflamed photo is from early March and the calmed down one was taken today. Such a vast improvement. The inflammation is gone, my scars are fading, and no more pain! I still get a few pimples here and there but nothing as bad as before. A few tips for anyone that’s never used benzoyl peroxide: - only use it once a week starting out then slowly add more days. Even at this low concentration it can be really harsh on your skin! - don’t exfoliate before using - apply moisturizer - SUNSCREEN. IT CAN DAMAGE YOUR SKIN IF YOU DONT USE SUNSCREEN. - let it completely dry before adding other products. ... show more

For reference, I have acne-prone and oily-combination skin. I started using this product out of curiosity but now it has become a staple in my routine. I don't use it as a moisturizer, but more of a spot treatment day and night since this product can be drying if you use too much. For me, this definitely helps with my acne problem. I find that it shrinks my active acne when I use it. The formula is very light-weight, once it absorbs into the skin, it feels like nothing at all. For the price, I definitely think this is worth it and I would recommend this product. But I would caution people with dry/normal/sensitive skin to use it in moderation since it can be a little drying. Wow!!! I really didn’t expect the results that I’ve gotten from this!! It’s affordable and really works!! I have tried thousands of products, serums and soaps to help the cystic bumps I get along my jaw line. They can get so bad and then scab. It looks like a burn on my face and then when they heal, I have a big dark spot in it’s place. I recently had a couple on my jaw line that no matter what I did to treat them, they wouldn’t budge or go down. I did resist messing with them bc I didn’t want another big scab with a scar but that’s hard to do when they are there constantly. So I came looking for another product yet again that I was praying would be what I needed. I started once a day to watch the dryness but my skin handled it well so I moved to twice a day. It didn’t happen over night like some have stated but gradually it started to decrease the bumps without over dryer or scabbing. I don't normally write reviews, but paying it forward since I read a review that made me buy this. I normally have clear skin except for an occasional hormonal thing or two. After a trip to central America over the summer, I developed a small patch of skin with a breakout. Thinking it was travel and stress, I used some tea tree oil (the only thing I'd ever used for anything previously) and hoped for the best. Well, after a while, the area spread. Small but noticeable (to me) little bumps popping up everywhere. They'd clear fast but new ones appeared daily. I started freaking out, having never dealt with this kind of thing before. Started buying up all the face washes and magical elixirs (honestly before I only washed with water and applied a bit of lotion). Nothing helped. Amazon randomly suggested this product to me (score one for invasive advertising) and I bought it because I had nothing left to lose besides more of my money, now 7 months after the initial breakout. I used it for 3 days and my skin completely cleared. After 5 days, I stopped using it except for minor spot treatments of hormonal stuff and the mysterious breakout has not returned. So now I'm left freaking out about what kind of nasty bacteria was living on my skin for MONTHS that none of the expensive scrubs and washes and potions were able to knock out. Ew.
