  • Works so well I got another
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh
I got this as a replacement for some flashlights that I have. It works great, and even works in a flashlight that I thought was broken (just needed the slightly longer battery).

  • Seems pretty good so far.
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh
Size Correction: On the Amazon page for this product, when you click the second icon from the top on the left side of the page, it shows the size of the battery compared to an AA battery and states that the 18700 is 70mm long, or 3.7 inches. That is wrong. Find a conversion page on the web and plug in 70mm and you get 2.7 inches, which is what I got with a ruler. I’m not an expert on batteries, so I was initially confused about what an 18700 battery was. I have several flashlights that take an 18650 battery. After some investigation, I learned that the 18650 designation is the size of the cell, whereas the 18700 designates the overall dimension of the complete battery package. I guess it’s longer because of the protection circuity, although I have 18650s that are protected and they are not longer. Whatever. Regardless, the 18700, though slightly longer, fits all my flashlights and works fine in them. As soon as it arrived, I charged it with my XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus charger. The battery had arrived at 45% charge. I took it up to full charge, tested it in a flashlight for about 5 seconds, removed it and then let it sit overnight. The next day around noon I put it back on the charger for a discharge-charge cycle to test capacity. Interestingly, it started out at 89%. It seemed like my 5 second test and self-discharge overnight took out a big hunk out of the charge, or my charger’s analysis was off a bit. I will update my review later with the capacity test results UPDATE: after some research, it seems that determining the actual capacity of an 18650 cell as compared to its stated capacity depends on a lot of variables (temperature, rate of discharge, etc.). One site stated "Usually the real 18650 cells tend to have a capacity of about 1800 - 2500 mAh." Running the analyzer function on my XTAR charger gave a capacity of 2580 mAh for the NERMAK battery, which seems pretty good. ... show more

  • good 18650 battery for travel, with USB-C charger port
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh
I like to take my laptop backpack when I travel, and it has limited packing space, so I have to scrutinize what I bring with me. I usually bring my favorite flashlight with me, as it uses the 18650, which lasts a long time, and I like to have a spare. Not having to drag along the charger for that spare is a plus. I buy 18650 when I can get them reasonable, as 18650s tend to be pricey (sometimes as much as a flashlight that uses them). I like this one, as it is ultimate for travel. It has a USB-C port, so I don't need to tote a charger with it, plus it is USB-C, which my cell phone uses anyway, so I don't even need to bring an extra cable (though they give you a nice cable with it). When I got this, I plugged in the USB-C cable to start charging. Although the listing says it shows a red LED when charging and green when done, it blinked green when charging and stayed solid green when charged, so the listing is incorrect. One thing to note, if it is an issue, this battery is just a tad longer (1 or 2 mm) than a normal 18650, I assume due to the USB-C port on the top. It does fit in my flashlight, and it screws closed tight, but the battery does stick out a bit when put in there. So, if you have something with very tight tolerances, you may have an issue, where I did not. I recommend this battery. 18650's are a good choice for flashlight use (more power and last longer than a bundled 3-pack of AAA that some flashlights use as well). This, having the USB-C port, is great for travel, as you don't need to carry anything extra to charge it (assuming you have a newer cell phone or PC that uses USB-C). The listed price is $14.99, but there is a 20% coupon, bringing it to $12, which is a great deal for the portable rechargeable 18650. ... show more

  • Good batteries but not as versatile as suggested.
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh-4 PACK
When I got these I was thinking they would fit in some of the stand alone solar lights and such that I've acquired over the past 5 years. That turned out not to be the case. Where they did end up being useful is in powering the small flashlights that I keep in various places around the house, garage, and glove box. They're designed to take three AAA's in a cylindrical caddy. With a bit of modification inspired by online videos I was able to get these to fit. I like that they're rechargeable but don't think I'll be getting any more unless I find devices that will accept them as is. ... show more

  • Nice Lithium Rechargeable for Flashlights
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh-2 PACK
It’s nice to find a lithium rechargeable that actually comes close to the advertised capacity. I checked both batteries on a charger that goes through a complete charge and discharge cycle and calculates capacity. These consistently came it at around 2800 mah. It’s also nice that they can be simultaneously charged with the supplied USB cable. Supposedly they are protected from over charge or accidental shorts which is a great feature. These worked fine in a flashlight designed for 18650s however it seems the end cap was not able to screw on completely. This shouldn’t be a problem as long as the water tight seal is maintained. ... show more

  • Do your research, but cool utility
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh-4 PACK
I’ll admit, these weren’t what I expected. Make sure you do your research for how these are utilized before buying! But, they’re a cool tool to have once you know what to use them for. Battery life could be better but they’re not a bad value.

  • Great versatile battery
Size: 3.7V 3200mAh
I tested this in first in a tactical flashlight that had three AAA batteries in a plastic holder. Although it was slightly longer than the battery pack is fit in the flashlight and worked great. Then I tested it in a headlight that uses a 18650 3.7 V battery. again, it was a little bit long but it still fit and worked perfectly. Another thing I like about this battery is that the USB C charging port can also be used for an output. This makes a great for testing and troubleshooting if you like tinkering with electronics like I do. ... show more
