This espresso machine is so pretty and looks very expensive on your counter! It is packaged really well and there was no damage when unboxing it. The directions are clear and it is fairly easy to use - it is lightweight so you do need to be careful putting in the portafilter otherwise the machine can slide around. The frother works well, but takes a lot of practice especially if you have not used one before. Overall it makes a great espresso and looks amazing in my kitchen!! ... show more

After putting this together, discovered that the water container top hinges were bent - so the top can easily fall off. Trying to use the machine for the first time, instructions are very unclear, and somehow nearly immediately the machine goes up to 248 degrees - nothing in the instructions tell me what I should be doing about that. I unpacked the machine but didn't save the packaging so there's no real way to return this - which is what I really would like to do. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Ok, I'll start by saying that in my opinion, a professional espresso machine should be worth at least $700 to $1000. I love this machine, but for its value it is an appliance just like a blender or toaster, but it is completely worth it for those people like me who are starting out in the world of espresso coffee. I had to watch several videos on YouTube to learn how to make a good espresso, and especially to froth the milk correctly, I did it! I didn't know that the milk frothing tube can have one or more holes, this machine has only one hole which makes it designed for begginers, the coffee comes out very well, even with the golden foam that it should have on top, this espresso machine It inspired me to make a coffee bar in a space in my kitchen and I loved it. It is worth the purchase and the price, very good quality, if you are a beginner in the world of espresso coffee I definitely recommend it, easy to use, perfect size and weight, coffee taste so good ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This expresso machine is compact and very lightweight. Instructions are clear and the machine is easy to use. It makes a decent cup of expresso. I'm learning the art and the video is my second attempt, which, by the way, turned out way better than my first attempt. The steam wand delivers steam when the steam/water switch is in the on postion and side knob turned or hot water when switch is in the off position and side knob turned. A couple things to note: 1. Machine is very lightweight and requires two hands to twist portafilter handle into the machine or else the machine just slides around. 2. The directions say 3 scoops of coffee for larger basket, but that's too much and the portafilter won't twist on. 3. Larger basket is for two cups but if you run in auto(which is 30 seconds) a second time, the expresso turns out too weak. I found that using manual mode for about 40 seconds works great for the larger basket. ... show more

I did not realize this espresso machine is a commercial/professional machine. It is phenomenal, and easy to use, as long as you follow the directions. Once you use it a few times, you can adjust the number of scoops according to your taste and how much the machine actually can take. For example, I use 2.5 scoops and not 3 as suggested. I would recommend getting a silicone mat that sits under the machine and holds it steady. It is compact and somewhat lightweight, and the price is very decent.
