I don't know how, but this thing helps keep my maskne in check (acne from wearing a face mask all day) better than any extra-gentle cleanser or any stronger chemical exfoliant cleanser I've tried. PHA is the perfect balance between gentle and active for my face. I love how it's almost scentless, and it's generally non irritating to my fairly sensitive skin. I will admit I am casually looking for a less expensive but still high quality alternative... but in the meantime I'm hooked. ... show more

At first I wasn't sure if this product was working because it doesn't foam, but when I looked at the sink after washing my face ... let's just say I have never actually seen the dirt leave my face until I used this product. Cleans SUPER effectively. My skin is a little dry when I have finished, but that also provides a "it's working" feeling, and everything was back to normal once I put moisturizer on. I have definitely seen cleaner, brighter skin since using this product. UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW TWO MONTHS LATER: I just updated my previous review to be 5 stars.
