This planter set was a really fun project to do with my five-year-old daughter. She loved the end result and it will be fun to watch the seeds grow with her! PROS: 1. The planter is really cute and well-constructed. It has nice drainage holes in the bottom so I feel like it will actually work well for growing plants. It comes with a planter tray to catch the drainage so I don't have to worry about the mess. 2. The stencils are stickers that work really well and are easy to use and remove. I honestly wish more projects came with stencils like these. 3. The kit included fun accessories like a little shovel, a paint tray for mixing colors from the provided paints, and a good variety of paint colors. CONS: 1. It was difficult to get the paint to stick onto the metal container. It tended to bead and slide off while we were painting, making it difficult to get good coverage. My five-year-old didn't mind too much, but this might bother older kids like it bothered me. 2. It didn't come with seeds. Not a big deal for us since we had extra flower seeds handy, but if you get this kit make sure to have seeds before you start the project. 3. There were no instructions with this kit. A lot of it was intuitive enough that it worked out for us, but a child doing this on their own might need more help because of it. The plan pot is cute. My six year old enjoyed painting it, and the paint seemed to glide on smoothly. She enjoyed painting with the stencils. I didn't love the paintbrush that came with it, so we used ones we had around the house already. For the price, this is an adorable gift idea for Mothers day or grandparents birthdays (or just because) This product comes with a couple of seed/dirt disks with zero instructions included or online. I'm not sure what they are or how to go about them, so we will be planting our own seed starters. ... show more

I am always looking for hands-on things to do with my toddler granddaughter. she may be a bit young for this but she still had a blast painting the dinosaurs. I do wish there were more colors but it still is worth the money.

The unicorn and paint are decent, the finish on the unicorn isn’t as smooth as other kits we get like this from Mondo Llama, our go to brand for products like this. The volume of paint is adequate for the single unicorn, it would probably be too little for the 4 dinosaurs?? It’s a fun set but the single unicorn for $11.99 is a little steep, same price for the 4 dinosaurs. ... show more

This is a nice set for gifting. The kit comes with everything you need, except for seeds or a plant. There is a nice variety of stencils that have adhesive on the back, which will make for nicer painted edger.

Got this kit for my kids and they enjoyed painting it. The pottery accepts the paint very well and dries fairly quickly to help minimize the mess. It only came with one paintbrush so I had to use other brushes we saved up from other painting projects. I wish it came with a little more paint since the paint runs out towards the last sculpture. I love the idea of this product, and can't wait to use it with my little one, but I'm so confused. There are no instructions whatsoever, and I even re-read the blurb on amazon many times, and I can't determine whether there are actually flower seeds included. Are they in the dirt pucks? Or do you need to bring your own? The description says " plant the flower seeds, like Calendula, Cosmos and Zinnia with vibrant colors and pleasant scents.", which I took to mean that those seeds were included, but I don't see seed packets anywhere. So, I guess I need to get my own seeds. I'm also not sure what the bottle is for. Watering the soil? Instructions would be really helpful. ... show more

I had ordered this set for my daughter, who is 4 years old. She got it out when she had a friend over and they split the 4 of these, so each one painted two. They loved the activity together. The unicorns are very cute and the paints and brushes that it comes with are perfect for a quick afternoon activity. My daughter really loved this and it was a great activity with her friend.
