  • Very affordable medium-sized computer table. It’s stable, and the legs are strong.
Size: 55 inches Color: Teak & White
I checked my measurements, read the reviews, and followed suggestions. This is a very affordable medium-sized computer table. If the surface is protected, it’s also fine as a breakfast or kitchen table. It’s not meant to be wet or scratched, but it looks good. The two weak points are 1) the surface, which is easily cut, chipped, worn through, and 2) the corners where the legs are bolted. They don’t shimmy at all, because I followed the advice of other buyers and tightened all of the bolts in series while wiggling the legs until they were set very snug to the framework. But, like all similar tables, the legs won’t take a lot of sideways force. For example, you can’t push it across a concrete floor and not expect the joints to protest. The bolts could snap, although it would take a lot of force. There are ridges under the bolt heads, like a locking washer, which should keep them from loosening, but they might loosen over time if the table is moved around a lot. If that happens, all you need to do is tighten them. So keep the hex wrenchs handy, or tape it to the underside! I had trouble with the screw hole in one leg; it seemed slightly obstructed, maybe with a steel filing. So I used some strength and screwed a bolt all the way in and then unscrewed it before attaching the leg to the table frame. The surface of the table is strong and rigid, because it is supported on all four sides by a steel frame. I feel that I can hammer and drill small items like jewelry without putting any strain on it. And as long as I protect the surface with vinyl or rubber, it should continue to look like wood. Of course it’s not, but it looks good. HELPFUL HINTS I’m a woman, 5’6” and 62, and not particularly fit, but I’m handy. So I unpacked the box in my entryway and moved the parts separately. It was a little tricky to get the top where I wanted it, because it’s very heavy, but managable. I slid it on a piece of cardboard from the box. I had no trouble lifting the legs and attaching them. Build it upside-down, with the top on the floor. It’s really the best way to get the legs tight. The hard part was standing the table upright, since I put it together on its back, so to speak. I lifted one end and slid a box under it with my foot, and did the same with the other end, so I only had to lift half the weight at one time. You could do it with hassocks, or couch cushions. Then I tilted the table toward the floor, off the edge of the boxes, until two legs were touching at a good angle to tip it over. That way, the boxes took most of the weight, and then the legs did. And I tilted it to stand upright. For scale, that’s a 27” iMac, quite a bit larger than your average monitor. It weighs at least 20 lbs. The pre-2012 iMacs were substantially heavier, with built-in CD/DVD drive. ... show more

  • The Desk That Does It All (Even When My Dog Won’t Leave My Lap)
Size: 63 inches Color: Rustic Brown
This 63-inch computer desk has officially become my new favorite coworker. Not only does it comfortably hold two large monitors with room to spare, but it also gives me the space I need for everything else—laptop, notebooks, and maybe the occasional snack (okay, maybe more than occasional). Even with my dog insisting on sitting on my lap during work hours, this desk stays the hero of my setup. It’s sleek, sturdy, and surprisingly spacious—no more scrambling to make space or knocking things over when I reach for something. If you’re looking for a desk that looks professional and handles the chaos of daily life (and a lap dog), this is the one for you. ... show more

  • Great Work Surface, Solid and Stable Desk
Size: 63 inches Color: White
This desk provides a great work surface. It is easy to assemble. I was able to assemble it by myself within about 10 minutes. It was a simple task of attaching the legs with the tools provided. The table top is one solid piece. The feet are adjustable to ensure a level surface. When this arrived it was extremely well packaged. I've included a pictures of two small spots where the table top frame screws compromised the laminate surface top. It arrived with these two small blemishes. This cleans beautifully with a dust cloth. ... show more

  • Wish I had done it sooner.
Size: 63 inches Color: Teak + Black
This replaces a much smaller desk and what a difference. It looks and feels great. Lots of room and very well made considering the low price. Assembly took 5 minutes. The wood top is already bolted to the aluminum outline frame so there is no alignment or stripping of the particle board to worry about. Just two hex bolts on each leg. The kit comes with an simple allen wrench but it goes much faster if you have power tools. The only surprise was the monitor mount. I already had a dual monitor stand I bought many years ago from Monoprice for my two dell 24" screens but quickly realize the two clamping bolts would not clear the metal outline frame. Thankfully, the height of the frame from the wood is exactly 1.5 inches which is the same as the nominal thickness of a 2x4 (remember 2x4's are 1.5 inch x 3.5 inch and not actually 2 inch x 4 inch :)). So I just sandwich in a scrap piece I had and done. See the attached picture. It does have some wobble to it because of the lack of cross support between the legs and table top. But having those would take away the leg room I suppose. Only really noticeable if you are doing something very aggressive on it. Normal typing and mouse moving are perfectly smooth. UPDATE: One thing I noticed was that the edges of the table top are very sharp. They tend to irritate your arms and wrists after a while of using it. Running your finger along an edge, you easily feel it. I ended up running a file along them to give a little bit of roundness. And I mean a TINY bit - it takes very little to take off the edge - like 2-3 passes depending on how aggressive the file is. Take off to much and you might start eating at the glue. If you dont have a metal file you can do it with a simple nail file, it will just take longer. ... show more

  • Wrong Instructions
Size: 70.8 inches Color: Black
When I opened the box, I saw that I got completely different instructions from the desk. Initially, I thought that I got something else, but soon found that the parts didn’t match the instructions so I built it without instructions since they don’t have any videos or PDFs online for it. It was pretty easy to build without instructions, but it would’ve been nice to have it. The desk itself is pretty good, sturdy and does what it does. The materials also pretty good for the price. I don’t know how everyone else’s experience with receiving instructions, but there is a chance you won’t get the right one. ... show more
