We decided on the spur of the moment to finally upgrade our mattress during this past prime day sale and ended up getting a great deal on the King sized Nectar Mattress. It was half off, I’ve heard great things about these beds in the past and after carefully doing some research just to make sure it would fit our needs, decided why the heck not and purchased the bed. It came within three days and after setting up a new bed frame for it we unboxed it-which I would do with help as the box is heavy and the sealed plastic covering the bed is a little harder to get off alone, although I’m sure someone could do it by themselves but would be much easier with help. Some reviews said the bed takes days to fully inflate but ours inflated fully within moments, almost instantly. The picture attached to my review is taken not even twenty minutes after we unboxed the bed. It is firm but also has the memory foam feel that has your body sinking in slightly and conforming to your body as you lay down. I’m a shorter, bigger woman about 260 lbs and it’s just the right amount of soft and firm for me. I add that because some people have suggested that the hybrid model mattress is a better fit for larger people as the medium firm model may be too firm and uncomfortable for larger bodies. I’m so ridiculously comfortable and relaxed in this bed and have slept better than I have in quite a while so that’s not the case for me at least. My fiancé is about 190 and taller and he’s equally comfortable and satisfied with the bed. This is simply the best mattress we’ve had in ages, only to be rivaled with our old Tempur-Pedic we had years ago which was the best sleep I ever got on any mattress in my twenty some years of life. This bed is up there on that level though and more affordable so I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. I very rarely write reviews, but after buying this bed, I wanted to help anyone else who is looking to buy a new bed. This review is a little lengthy, but you will be glad that you read it entirely. If you are like me, you have looked at all the mattress brands and have read countless reviews and looked at the pricing on all of them. I will tell you now “STOP LOOKING!” This mattress, in my opinion, is the best mattress on the market regardless of the price. I don’t know how any other mattress can compare when you look at price, comfort, quality and the 365 day trial guarantee. I ordered my mattress from Amazon because they offer a $79 delivery, set up and removal of your old mattress and box springs. No other company offered that and if you don’t use Amazon, it cost upwards of over $200! It arrived within the window scheduled (when was the last time that happened for you?) and the delivery crew did a great job, even offering to take their shoes off before entering my house! I also ordered a mattress frame from Amazon and had it ready to go when my new mattress arrived. I could have used the old frame and box springs, but I wanted more storage so I bought a 16” high frame with a skirt that I also bought from Amazon. Now for the bed, I bought the Nectar Premier Copper 14” California King-Medium, which turned out to be PERFECT! A lot of people complain about their mattress having a smell when it is opened, but this Mattress doesn’t smell at all. This mattress is not too hard and it is not so soft that you sink in to it. It’s so comfortable that I want to lay down on it every time I walk by it. When I go to bed, I’m out in minutes and I sleep all night! I’m confident that if you buy this mattress, you’ll end up keeping it! The worst that can happen is you enjoy the mattress for up to 365 days and send it back if you are not satisfied. I hope this review helps you in making your decision on your mattress. I have now had my bed for over two months and I’m sleeping through the night! I would like to add a couple things that might help. I purchased a bed skirt,to hide the storage underneath the bed, but I found it difficult to stay in place so I purchased some Velcro strips to secure the skirt to bed frame and they worked perfectly. I also purchased some mattress gaskets to keep the mattress from sliding on the frame and they also worked perfectly. I bought both of these products on Amazon. I hope this helps. ... show more

    • Review for Nectar 13” Queen Premier, our first non-traditional mattress.
Size: Queen Style: Nectar Premier Pattern Name: Mattress
1. Shipping packaging: arrived in cardboard box. Inside, mattress is vacuum-compressed within thick, clear plastic. It is rather heavy (70+ lbs) for its boxed size, so have help ready to lift, etc. 2. Unboxing: make sure your bed frame is ready, before opening the plastic vacuum wrap! Once the seal is broken, it expands quite rapidly, and is unwieldy. 3. Expansion: 3-5 hours minimum is recommended (by manufacturer). We allotted about 7 hours, before we slept on it, and it seemed OK. There was little to no odor. 4. Initial sleep: of course, any new mattress requires a bit of “getting used to”. First sensation when laying upon it is one of slight envelopment. Not a negative, just a bit more initial “give”, than we were accustomed to. Support seemed to be in a 6+ range. Welcome lack of pressure points, particularly when side-sleeping. Back-sleeping was extra restful, for me. 5. Consecutive sleeps: after a few nights acclimating, our initial comfort assessments are unaltered. It does feel a slightly warmer, than any previous mattress, but this is easily adapted. Rolling over does take considerably more effort, but due to the comfort level, we found ourselves rolling much less often. 6. Incidentals: There is little edge support, with this mattress. If you frequently sit on the edge of your bed, you may find this awkward or challenging. As this type is less rigid than a traditional mattress, moving it around (to do periodic rotation, for example) is more laborious – almost a “dead weight” experience. 7. Overall impressions: We are pleased. So far, this seems to be a cost-effective, convenient, expedient means to a new, comfortable mattress.
