Bought the carrier + the litter box and love it! My cat loves it too! Overall: Plenty of space, super lightweight, but real durable. It fit in the backseat of my sedan. Cat likes it a lot. 5/5 really pleased. There's enough space in the carrier for the cat in his cat bed next to the litter box. Opi has not used the litter box while in the carrier and I don't think he will. So, I fill the whole carrier with Opi's favorite blanket and he snuggles in for the ride! The litter box is still a good addition for a travel litter box because it folds up and is easy to clean. I like the side flap because it is easy to check on him, but can be closed off so it's dark for him to sleep. I had only thought of the carrier as holding him during car rides, but it is a great "safe space" for him when we are in new places. It was great for him to have a big, cozy space to hide in while we were in the hotel. He loves snoozing in there! Whenever I leave it out in the apartment he goes and hangs out in there. Cons: The carrier is tricky to fold/twist back to a small shape for storage. It's doable, just tricky at first. This carrier is amazing! We have used this for our 3 cats for two moves now one being a 10 hour drive and one a little bit shorter. However, the portable litter box is great to have, it has shades to pull down to reduce their anxiety, it is huge and could easily accommodate 4 cats if needed. My only complaint would be there is no bottom support, so when moving the cats from the car into the home they all fell on top of each other into the middle when carrying the carrier. A piece of cardboard or something would be helpful to support them upon transferring to and from the vehicle. ... show more

    • If you are thinking about it - BUY IT!!
I recently moved over 1,000 miles and had to travel with two cats. Two cats who cry the entire 2 mile trip to the vet in their individual carriers. I bought this hoping that it would give them more room and make them more comfortable. This was single handedly one of the best Amazon purchases I have ever made. They were both comfortable, there was room for their litterbox and they used it with no mess! They could see me through the mesh throughout the drive. One thing I especially loved is that I left this large carrier in the car (strapped in!) and used their individual carriers to and from the hotel. In the morning I had worried they would give me a hard time, but I opened the side for the small carrier and large carrier and they gladly stepped in without any hesitation or even trying to get out. This was a huge relief! Another thing that was great about the litterbox was that I was able to bring it inside the hotel easily and then back out. It is large enough to work for the kitties, but small enough to easily transport. It also cleaned well! When we got home and I unloaded the car and moved this large cat carrier inside (our apartment was empty for over a week waiting for a pod) they both made a beeline for this large carrier, this is where they felt safe. I wish my apartment wasn't so tiny because I would gladly leave this out for them year round as they really love it and see it as their comfort zone. If you are going to take a long road trip with cats, I cannot recommend this carrier more highly. My cats fussed for about the first hour and then were 100% peaceful the other 19! I think I paid $47 or so for the carrier and the litterbox - this was completely worth every penny! ... show more

    • Interesting design.
Quality appeared to be good. Design was interesting. Unfortunately had to return because my cat would have no part of it. Too stressed out for him and me. Description says it holds two cats comfortably, must be small cats or kittens. It would be great for temporary transporting.

    • Great for Long Car Trip
This carrier made a trip half way across the country with our cat as pleasant as possible. Our cat doesn't like going in the car at all but we moved from one state to another so we got calming medicine from the veterinarian and bought this carrier. The fact that it is large enough for a cat to sleep in one section and have the litter box in the other part sold me on this set up. I found that it worked well. I had it out for a week or so before our trip for the cat to acclimate to it, sniff around it, climb in for a nap, etc. Then when the packers and movers came I confined the cat to the carrier and placed it in our bathroom (and had the cat medicated as well). I didn't want her to escape the house or hide where I couldn't find her right before moving). That was two days at home in the carrier with her box in it as well. She could eat and drink when I placed her food and water in it. I carefully unzipped the carrier not allowing her to escape. I have no idea how we would have negotiated a move without this carrier and litter box. Her regular travel carrier used exclusively to get her to the vet or for boarding was just too small to hold a litter box. This carrier/litter box kept her safe while strangers were in the house, had the doors open for moving in supplies and moving furniture and boxes out. It also kept her safe when we traveled a long distance by car, stopping for gas, food and rest room breaks. She couldn't escape while the car doors were opened. We've been in our new home for several weeks and I repeated the confinement to the carrier when our furniture was delivered to the new place. I still have it set up and in our bedroom with one end open so she has a safe and familiar place to sleep whenever she wants to go inside it. I have her blanket, and her well used bed in there but I no longer have the litter box set up. She often sleeps in there at night and seems to enjoy having it to go into. ... show more
