I was tired of using antiperspirants, which felt like a bandaid covering up deeper problems. I used Chlorhexidine a few times, but this was not a long term solution. I tried using Paula's Choice BHA Liquid, which is an excellent product, but felt sticky under the arms and was not aesthetically pleasing. I was looking for a product that contained more than one AHA. This one contains lactic acid, mandelic acid, as well as gluconolactone, which is a poly hydroxy acid. I am happy to report this does work to eliminate body odor. Please not that this is a deodorant, and you will still continue to sweat. It has a lovely, discreet, green eucalyptus scent. I felt my armpits were virgin after 12 years without commercial deodorants, and my recent intense physical activity was too much for my natural products (so I urgently needed a deodorant). This product can resist my 3-hour workout, has a refreshing sense every time I use it, smells fabulous, doesn't stain my clothes, and dries quickly. I only use it on the days I work out. I think it’s a little overpriced, I think it’s good quality, but I don’t think it’s great quality, I like the smell, I don’t think the durability is great as it doesn’t last 24 hours for odor control. Of course it’s wet But it dries fast and is not sticky. It is easy to use just make sure to press on the ball and roll it before using. ... show more

I’ve tested many natural deodorants and most don’t work and leave me smelling bad. I like they this one is a gel, and has a very mild scent. It works pretty well. Definitely need to reapply in the summer months. I will keep buying this one!

UPDATE: I'm giving this a 1 star. It did not hold the smell but I believe made me smell musty-er. I did not see much changes using this. I decided to just stick with the toner because it actually helps with odor control, color, and boils and many other things. This was way too expensive and did nothing for me within the 3 bottles I bought. I could literally say, I gave this a trail period and this last bottle I'm not even finishing it. Out here smelling like a grown man after 5 hours of basketball practice smh. I would let it dry before i put on a shirt and on some days, if I'm not doing much activity at all (just in a car and out, less then 30 mins walking) it might last but it is not worth it for me. I did not see much difference in the color of my underarm and I was not consistent with the tumeric soap or the toner, only I was consistent with this. I can't say much about any boils or bumps underarm because it truly also depends on your intake of foods. Since I consume more sugar and dairy, I had a few more breakouts and I can't blame this for not preventing that. I'm using this for some weeks now. I nearly gave up on it week 1 because it did not help with odor, especially in the heat wave we had. It didn't even last 30 mins. Im not sure about the lightened of the arms yet but that's why I'm sticking with it. I use another deodorant at times and use this when I know I'm not going to sweat too much. I was so excited about this product! When I started using it it worked great! I loved the scent, I loved how it went on, and how it kept body odor at bay. After about 2 weeks of using it daily I developed a terrible skin irritation under my arms and have not been able to use it since as my skin is still healing. Maybe I’ll have to have a deodorant rotation so it doesn’t irritate my skin with prolonged use. I’ve tried them all, as they say. Your standard drugstore, your homemades, and natural… some work for half a day, or not at all. Lume worked for a bit, but the scent that worked best for me was discontinued when the company expanded. Their current options make me smell worse (it’s typically that a specific essential oil doesn’t agree with individual body chemistry). This is most comparable to my other deodorant in rotation: Kosas. Though I’ve been ordering this Necessaire one above all others for about 2 years. Hands down my favorite and incidentally I’ve discovered a few of my friends also use it. It’s clean and uses enzymes and acids to kill bacteria. I stay clean and odor free all day. If I go beyond a day I can begin to smell a faint stink - but I shower every night and reapply, so that’s not an issue. Remember : it doesn’t stop you from sweating, but it kills the bacteria to stop odor. I live in Texas and don’t want to use antiperspirants, so I just keep little fresh handkerchiefs on me, so I have them to dab any sweat if needed. It never smells though! If you don’t allow it to dry fully before getting dressed (in a rush, I just dab with a clean cloth or paper towel), I’ve noticed I will be guaranteed to sweat nonstop that day. So just let it dry! Since it’s a roll on, 2 tips: • only apply to clean armpits (dont be nasty - you don’t want bacteria getting rolled up into the container - it’s good at *preventing* bacteria growth on your body, not killing an entire colony) • apply to dry armpits and allow to dry fully before getting dressed (there’s not really a transfer issue, it just helps keep your armpits dry through the day) PS I have super sensitive skin and am eczema prone, and this doesn’t bother me at all. It can occasionally sting if I’ve *just* shaved, but that’s par for the course with shaving then applying a liquid deodorant, though if that happens it subsides within 2-3 seconds (has literally only happened a handful of times and I shave every few days). ... show more
