This is the best desk lamp I have ever bought I got this for my wife as a replacement for another lamp that I bought her on Amazon but it would not stay up after awhile and there was no way to tighten up the joints so good news is it was still under warranty and I returned it and came across this lamp and read all the reviews and there are some good YouTube videos of people using it. Well all I can say is she loves it and is very pleased with it she uses it for her nails and it is very bright. If you are looking for a light because you are an artist and want to see everything then get this lamp you will not be disappointed with how bright it is. The only con I could say and this is minor is that the lamp head is very long so if you want the light going across your desk you will have to mount it at the top of your desk because of how long the lamp head is. You can put it on the side but it will limit the range of movement for the lamp. Other than that it is well worth the money. AND comes with its own 3 year warranty. ... show more

I wanted a nice quality bench-mounted lamp for my workshop. It was surprisingly hard to find a proper industrial quality lamp. But I did find one at a large, well known industrial supply company that is the same size and wattage as this one. But it was a bit over $1000! This one is a bit "consumer grade" as opposed to industrial grade, but it is clearly built better than the $20-$40 dollar versions available everywhere. The joints seem sturdier, the lamp stays where you put it, etc. One minor inconvenience with this type of lamp is that the oblong light will interfere with the articulated arms when in certain positions. The light is adequate; not dim, but not a super-nova either. About right for my purposes. So I think this is worth the $$ if you want something a bit better than the average cheapo lamps and don't want to spend a fortune. ... show more
