The nativity scene is a must have in our home as long as I can remember. This set is a beautiful modern take on the traditional ceramic sets of the past. The resin composition will last our family for a long, long time. When compared to ceramic, this set is far more durable, is it breakable, yes, but I do not have to worry that a dog tail or little hands will drop and shatter members of the nativity as each piece is solid and not easily chipped. A set such as this is also more minimal in design, and in my opinion more modern. The all-white dressings of the nativity members make this feel less busy and, in my opinion, causes you to lean more on the story and meaning of the pieces and their individual importance versus, the colors and accuracy depicted when compared to other nativity sets. The blank faces of each piece are simple and elegant. For me what sets this set apart is the animals! Included are a little sheep, laying donkey, and camel that looks like he is smiling. I appreciate the added details of the animals and the simplicity of the set as a whole. Highly recommend, this nativity set is simply elegant, I cannot wait to put it up this holiday season! ... show more

I enjoy the way this nativity set was done, the ideal of being all in white. Though I can’t think this would be a true representation of the event itself the image that this brings when seen is just lovely for me. I do enjoy they are made of resin as it tends to be more durable than porcelain or ceramics, that’s not to say its not breakable by any means, my last one was resin and it broke. Not hoping to confuse anyone as my point is its perhaps doesn’t break as easily and won’t bring into as many pieces when compared to porcelain or ceramics. Price here isn’t bad, still a touch high but its unique as well so the rarity of this might be why it’s a touch higher than other sets. This is a very simply designed nativity set, it has just the right amount of detail and is crafted beautifully. It is a serene type piece and adds so much to any area where it is placed. This nativity is gorgeous. Bright white for the main body which makes the colors of their skin, hair, beards, gifts, etc., just pop against it. Made of resin, it feels more durable than my ceramic and porcelain sets. I know that it will still break if I were to drop it (most likely), but I feel like I don't have to be quite as careful with it as I do my other set. The colors and way that it's painted reminds me so much of Willow Tree without the huge price tag. Size wise, it is about the size of a larger salt grinder (I've included a pic). I have been using the same nativity set for about 25 years waiting to find another one that I could fall in love with. I truly believe this one is it and I cannot wait to see it in my stable scene this Christmas. ... show more

I was looking for a Nativity set in modern style with clean lines and understated color scheme. I had a specific place in mind where I was planning to display it and was looking for a specific size of the figures, so the set would fit there in a way I envisioned it. This set is exactly what I was looking for. The figures are made of sturdy resin. The dimensions of the individual pieces are as shown in the listing. I like the white color scheme with just a few meaningful pops of color. I also like the clean lines of all the figurines. BCSmyer 12 Pieces 6.5 Inch Nativity Set would make a nice addition to your Christmas collection. It has a pretty yet simple design. All the pieces arrived intact because of excellent packaging. Unfortunately two of the pieces arrived with some kind of tan residue on them. When I was wiping it off with a cloth and water it did take a little of the paint off, but other than that I am pleased with this item and plan to use it during the Holiday Season. ... show more
