  • High device
I can do things so easily : 1. Having deep control of sounds and instruments 2. Controlling my cubase so easily 3. Mixing tracks on a controller is a very nice experience! 4. My ample guitars can be also controlled 5. Taking in account things from third party such as IZotope brings the device to another level! Thanks to Native Instruments ... show more

  • Awesome Keyboard With Some Flaws And A Lot Of Bugs...
I bought this to use with kontakt. Getting the keyboard to work with my computer was a very difficult process. First it needed me to buy a whole new extra cable and a new power supply. None of mine were good enough apparently. Than it won't let you use the keyboard at all unless you update it online. Only it wouldn't update with the cord they provided. So i searched forums online and heard people saying that the cord it comes with doesn't work for the update and they got it to work using a different cord. So here we go again now i had to get ANOTHER CORD. It worked i finally got it to update. Eventually it started having other usb issues which caused me to return it. But during the times i enjoyed it there were good things i liked about it. The light up keys are great. The scale feature is interesting. Searching through kontakt sounds and vsts was much better on the keyboard than on the computer. BUT I didn't like how you have to be hunched over the keyboard to see the screen. If they had made the screen facing the piano player and NOT FLAT. Like i've seen on other keyboards would have been much better. The keys got a little noisy and plasticy sometimes. Overall I liked the keyboard when it worked well. The kontakt integration stopped working in cubase after a while too. In the end i returned it, but maybe the next model will be better i hope. ... show more

  • It took two tries
The first S49 keyboard I received had 8 dead keys out of the 49. The third C# key through the G# key. Poor quality control. I returned it through Amazon with no problem, bought it again and the second unit is working fine. I didn't notice when I bought it that this keyboard prefers a USB-C port. I was lucky that my Windows 11 desktop had an open USB-C port that I had forgotten about. Online instruction say that you can use a USC-C to USB-A converter extension if you need one but you'll also need to power it through its separate USB-C power port. ... show more

  • Specifications
If you're going to purchase a $750 piece of musical equipment you may want to take the time to read the specifications. No issues with mine but I noticed this sentence in their specifications; "macOS 13 (Ventura) or higher (Sonoma compatibility coming soon)." For you PC user's that can't bother with reading; "Windows 10 or 11 (latest service pack) or higher." The S series is a bit pricey but pound for pound the best keyboard controller out there. ... show more

  • What a disappointment.
After getting the keyboard I was amazed at the build quality and design. It's heavy and feels like a premium product. After trying to get it setup(installed drivers, troubleshooting updates etc.) The keyboard was not recognized by the firmware update. After hours of trying to get it to work. I returned it assuming that it was a bad board. So I ordered a replacement. I've had the same issues with the replacement board. It's not recognized by the PC dispute being plugged directly into the motherboard USBc port and getting plenty of power. All of my software and drivers are up to date and I followed all of the troubleshooting steps per the NI website. Still no success with the board. Maybe I received 2 faulty boards back to back. While unlikely it's still possible; but I'm not trying a third. It shouldn't be this troublesome to get a keyboard to work. Especially at this price point. ... show more

  • Oops - not compatible with Mac OS Sonoma 14
Well - I made a mistake I guess - excited to unbox and try this but almost immediately had issues with: Firmware Update - solution don't use the USB port on the Mac - use a USB hub instead. NI Komplete Kontrol software (Solution - don't use Komplete Kontrol) Logic Pro crashing when used with the NI Komplete S49 MK3 plugged in - solved by turning the keyboard off. (Solution - leave the keyboard off.) Maybe NI could pop up a warning and save me a day or so of head scratching. I'll save you some pain: If using NI products of any kind on a Mac - check the compatibility first. I would still be excited to use this product if it worked on my Mac - maybe someday. Until then I think I'll have to return it. ... show more
