This majestic Downswept Douglas Fir tree is 7.5 feet tall and 59 inches in diameter at the bottom, giving the tree a wide profile. Friends and family alike will marvel at how the tree closely mimics those outside. Molded from real tree branches for an authentic living tree appearance, this tree features our trademarked ‘Feel Real’ technology. Hundreds of crush-resistant polyethylene tips form full bodied branches to create a tree with remarkable realism. The tree is designed with a hinged branch system that allows the branches to swing down for a quick and simple set-up and fold back in for easy storage. Set aside 45-60 minutes after assembly to properly shape the tree by peeling back the branches and pulling the tips apart to give the branches a more full-bodied look. This fantastically festive tree is strung with 900 Dual Color LED lights prior to packaging and includes a sturdy, metal base for a more convenient setup. The Dual Color LED bulbs can alternate between white and multicolor lights and includes a switch to control ten different light functions, allowing the bulbs to twinkle, flash or fade on either color setting. The lights operate individually, so if the bulb lens has not been cracked or broken, the light set will continue to illuminate except for any individual bulbs that are not working. This tree also includes PowerConnect, an additional feature where the wires run through the middle pole of the tree, eliminating the need for extension cords and plugs in the branches. I love this tree for a variety of reasons: tree is lifelike, easy to assemble no searching for plugs to attach sections, love variety of lighting options, tree is holding up well, and if needed LED bulbs can be replaced. We have not had any issues with bulbs going out. This tree will requires fluffing upon purchase, and depending how you store will determine if additional fluffing will be needed. Easy set up with most branches on hinges. We didn't like the setup at top of tree for star as wasn't very stable, so my husband added support to keep our star straight and in place. This would not be an issue if you put an angel at the top. Lighting - it's fun to be able to change your color option, it can look like a different tree if you select a different option! Additional options: We purchased the coordinating star which provides a cohesive look regardless of the color selection. The six inches trunk extension allows extra room under tree for gifts. Purchased music box but don't use as having music and sound together is fun, but the the sound isn't great. Plus inconvenient to attach/remove if you were swapping from lights with the music or without. With music attachment and no music, tree wouldn't turn on automatically with timer. We chose the 6 1/2 ft tree, and it was super easy to put up. We were pleasantly surprised at just how easy and fast it was to "fluff" the branches and needles. We fluffed the top section before the middle section, so we wouldn't have to stretch to reach it; then set it aside and did the middle section. We had the base section plugged in, so we could check the lights as we joined the sections. That added to the excitement of seeing it develop. National Tree Company put a lot of thought and engineering into this tree. It is very full, and the tips are just as soft and round as the video shows. We have no flat tips, which is a big part of why it's so beautiful. The number of lights is perfect, too. We wouldn't change a thing about this tree. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This tree looks beautiful. I bought it back in august or September but didn’t get it up until now for obvious reasons. I did put it together just for a minute when I got it to make sure all the lights were working and there were no issues (didn’t want to miss the return window if that was the case, fortunately I had no issues there, even though the box it came in looked like it had been spit out by a trash compactor, it still worked fine). I’m happy with it. I do wish that all of the tips were “real feel” tips. Only the outer tips are real feel, the inner tips are the regular crappy looking kind I was hoping to not even have to see again. For the price, I really think they should all be “real feel” tips. See photo above. Love the power connect feature. It made set up a breeze. The lights are beautiful as well. Even though they are LED lights they still have that incandescent look, which I love. This is definitely an upgrade from what I had. I gave this tree 5 stars but important note: I’ve seen nicer trees with 1200 lights for around $450 at Lowe’s (last year, anyway). They had one in particular I fell in loved with but I held off on buying. The main reason I didn’t go back to Lowe’s to get that tree is because I was able to pay in installments with 0% APR on this tree. So if budget is not a factor, you may want to check out some of the trees at Lowe’s or Home Depot because they really do have beautiful trees for around the same price or possibly even less. The tree was easy to assemble. It did take about an hour to spread out all the branches, but once that was done the tree was very full and life-like. All the features of the lights worked as described. Two complaints: there is a band in the middle of the tree that has less lights than the bottom or the top. I checked to see that all the lights were working and they were. It's not a deal breaker, but it is noticeable. Also, there is no stem to attach the tree topper. you have to bend one of the branches up and it took awhile to make it look right. There is a plug up there for a topper, but it only fits a National Tree topper. I tried to order one from Amazon, but got a weird message that is was too big to ship to my address. Bottom line, a nice tree at a good price. ( looks like we ordered it just before a price increase) ... show more

    • I was nervous… but turns out the tree is gorgeous

The media could not be loaded. For decades, even before we were married, we had a real tree as our main family tree. I have loved the smell and texture. It was a tradition for the boys to go with dad to pick one out and set it up. But those trees have been getting more and more expensive. And the boys aren’t living at home (well, the baby is in college - by the time he gets home it’ll be too late to get a good quality real tree). Hubby said he was tired of the work involved with the real tree and begged me to get an artificial one. I sulked like a spoiled kid, but I knew the day was coming. I did a lot of research. Ultimately I simply didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a tree. I didn’t think I should have to. My research and budget constraints led me to this one. I was really worried it would look like plastic and feel like rubber. But my concerns were a waste of good brain cells. This tree is gorgeous. There are two kinds of branches. The puffy ones on the ends feel soft to the touch- very similar to a real tree. I opted for one with the multiple light options. That was the one perk I allowed myself when it came to weighing prices. I’m so glad I did. Having used only white lights for decades, I’m excited to have multi-color options. I LOVE the fade from white to color! The next test will be how long the lights stay working. I have a pencil-sized tree in our front room window. It’s going on 15 years old and is still working. I’m hoping this will last just as long. ... show more
