The grandkids (3&5 yrs) loved this and it was fairly easy to do. Only issue was getting the cardboard bowl off once the project was completed. It sticks to the clay and has to be scrubbed off. My seven year old loved making these. They are supposed to dry overnight, but ours took about 72 hours. We put furniture pads on the bottoms and will be using them as coasters. My daughter is so proud of her work. This project was less messy than I expected too! Mom win!

This kit is the most affordable option that is all inclusive. I got it to go with a study of Rome with my kids. They enjoyed it. It is very basic. It needs a lot more mosaic stones to really make three nice mosaics and I wish I had ordered some from some other seller. The instructions don’t give enough dry time. Also, if you get the mosaic wet at all after it’s done, it will go back to its wet clay form, so it needs to be sealed somehow and the kit provides no supplies or instructions for that. 8 year old grandson got this for his birthday and was anxious to start. He worked on one design with me. Easy directions. Only issue was it was a little difficult to apply the glass tiles to the plaster without getting them a little messy. Some kind of applicator, such as a tweezers might be more effective, but it was a great project for following step by step directions, timing and patience. ... show more
