  • Fun way to learn about the human body
My son is really interested in the human body and was excited to take this model apart. It is a great overview of the major parts of the body and a fun and easy way to become familiar with all the different organs. The glow and the dark bones are a fun feature and my son likes to see it glow when he shuts the lights off in his room. There is a little guide to learn more about the different parts and reassembly instructions. He definitely needed my help to put all of the pieces back together which was a little bit tricky but we managed in the end. I also like that it includes a stand so this can also be displayed while not is use. ... show more

  • Fun to do with the kids, but definitely needs supervision
This definitely isn’t 6+ for the assembly part. I had trouble getting many of the parts in place. It was fun nonetheless to put together with the kids and talk about the organs.

  • Nope!
My son loves the human body, so I got this for him for his birthday. I should have read the reviews! It’s smaller than I thought, and difficult to put it back together as the parts do not align. Especially the hip bones! He did like the squishy internal organs though. I will be returning this item and looking for something else ... show more

  • Neat
Such a cool thing to have for kids to learn about the body! They are able to see what organs look like and where they are in the body, very neat!

  • Parts don’t stay- impossible to complete
Very cheap parts make it impossible to connect hip bones - they are supposed to snap on, but the connection is so loose and shallow. Not sure if the material just wasn’t made right or too cheap, but it makes it impossible to complete the rest of the model since certain parts don’t stay

  • Cool Idea but Hard to Keep together
The idea was cool enough. Take the body pieces and teach your kids how their insides look. However. The parts do NOT snap together and fall apart quite easily. Was never able to fully assemble without it breaking apart

  • Its neat but would not leave a 6 year old alone with it
It's Nat Geo so I had good hopes and there are some aspects of this that are really kewl. The glowing for one, the detail on the organs, and in a way the assembly part of the process. The reason though I have issues outweigh the fun parts because this is intended to give to a young child and doing so on their own is almost asking for a bad time. I'm no stranger to models and working with tiny parts in electronics and with all that said there were several times I was reaching a point of frustration with the kit. As others have noted especially in relation to the hip area. These pieces came from a bad mold I have to assume. They aren't anywhere near precise and well fitting as other parts of the model and given it caused me frustration I can say with full confidence I'd have been addressing a meltdown from my 6 year old whom usually enjoys puzzles, and building legos, etc. It's one thing if you don't know what you're suppose to be doing but this is the kind of frustration that comes from knowing exactly what you should be doing and the thing you're working on not being able to do it. Eventually I did get it all together and then proceeded to take it apart so that I could do it again with her in a teaching scenario. This also meant that I knew which bits were easy to put together and where the parts of frustration would come up so that I could 'share the build' and make it so I worked on those parts when it was time. Like I said in general the model is neat, we had fun with using it as a learning tool, it looks good all put together on display in her room, but the fact that someone is likely to buy this as a gift and not be there or not know to be there while it's being played with is a recipe for a holiday meltdown that could be avoided so I can't rate it any higher. ... show more
