  • Functional and bright
Size: Small-Medium
I bought this mesh reflector vest to go running as the days get darker earlier. It's extremely effective and is so light that I forget I'm wearing it. I previously used the reflector vest that uses the straps and buckles and, while that still offered a good amount of visibility, the buckles would bounce during my runs and even start to come loose. This, however, stays put because it's so light and uses velcro straps. The size seems to cover a wide range since it's adjustable, so you should be good if you pick your usual size. If you need something that will improve your visibility at night or even during the day, this is a great choice. ... show more

  • I love it! This is is great
Size: Large-X-Large
I love it! This is is great! According to amazon, it says I bought this November 9th, 2012. I use this on all of my night runs and every run in the winter. Most every run of mine in the fall/winter is in the dark! This vest has been soaked in sweat and washed many times times and seems to hold up well! It is light weight and comfortable to wear without a shirt underneath on those super hot nights in the summer. In the winter, I only/always wear a under armour mock turtle neck and a light wind breaker for my runs, even in sub zero temps. This vest fits great over everything. I am 6 foot and about 200lbs and my vest has room to spear. But i'm not swimming in it. Maybe with no shirt under it, it is a little loose, but not bad. One night I was running on a back country road, and this guy pulled up and said how well he could see me and thanked me for not being "a dumba$$ like those other runners who wear dark colors when running at night". That was a good feeling! And it made me feel a lot more safe when wearing it! I have also filled out the emergency contact info card that comes with the vest. I did leave it in accidentally when I washed it, but it was surprisingly in good shape. I have not use the key slot for my key yet, but it does look safe and secure. I always tie my key to the draw string of my shorts instead. If anything ever happens to this vest, I will definitely buy another one just like it! ... show more

  • Great vest
Size: Small-Medium
The vest does a great job increasing user visibility to other people under multiple conditions. Retro-reflection technology for night time use, and neon colors for day time use make this a versatile vest. The vest is very like weight and in no way impedes range of motion. I'm a very slender man, yet the Velcro adjust-ability allows for a perfect fit every time. Be careful when un-Velcroing the vest. The Velcro is stitched to a fine mesh that is innately susceptible to tearing. Make sure to grip the Velcro instead of the fabric mesh when un-Velcroing the vest, or wear and tear will be significantly accelerated. The vest is not quite as bright as what appears in the photo. Take that into consideration. To see the actual color brightness, go to your local running store and take a look at the vest in person. The vest looks kind of dorky, but it excels in the department of visibility. I'm fine with that if that reduces the chances of a car plowing into me. ... show more

  • Great for running and biking!
Size: Small-Medium
I used this for Ragnar this summer and it worked well. It is adjustable and I got the smallest one possible but there's still some room to spare (I am 5'2" 123lbs, athletic, small). This can be a good thing as you can use it on top of thicker clothes during winter. Although it seems a bit big, it stayed in place well and didn't move around as much. It's designed well that the arms won't get caught on the vest during the swings and it's super light it's almost as if it's not there. Can't comment as to whether it can cause chaffing if you're wearing tank tops because my runs were rainy and I was wearing long sleeves. I haven't worn it since Ragnar but I do expect to wear it more later this year when the days get shorter. The vest's reflective strips are also designed to hold lights if needed. Pretty handy! ... show more

  • Perfect for night running and relay races
We ordered 12 of these vests for our team to use in a Ragnar Relay race, and they were perfect. The vest is minimal and only covers the shoulders/chest area, so it kept us cool and didn't add any bulk. It fits tight on most people so it doesn't bounce around or get caught on your arms or running gear. We had to keep our vests on during the night even when we weren't running, and this also fit well over our sweatshirts and because the material is so airy it wasn't sweaty or smelly after our runs (so we didn't mind keeping it on). This was a much better alternative to the construction-style running vests some other teams had on, it was worth every penny! We found these to be pretty true to size. It's meant to fit tight, so keep that in mind when ordering. The S/M fit most of us average size people (men and women). The L/XL was only needed for those that were above average in the chest, and was to big for some of the tall men with a thinner build. Order based on your chest size, not your normal shirt size. ... show more

  • Perfect
Size: Large-X-Large
This vest was everything I was looking for and the price was very reasonable. I am a casual runner, 2 miles 5 times a week and a 5'11" 168lb male. I ordered the X-large vest and it is perfect for my build. The Velcro straps are in their minimum position which is ideal when running in a t-shirt, plus it give me room as the weather turns cold and I add layers. As many have mentioned, this vest comes down to the bottom of your chest, not your waist. If you are looking for a full length vest, this is not the product for you. The vest fits well and there is very little movement as I run. When wearing a t-shirt, the vest does not rub against my neck. I live in New Hampshire and do my running on dirt roads in the early morning. This being the case, there are no street lights and little lighting from houses. There are also few cars, but those that are on the road, have little time to react to a runner given the low lighting and the hills and curves of our dirt roads. My prior vest was a "hunter orange" vest and I can tell that cars can see me sooner when I wear the Nathan Vest by when they are slowing down and steering clear of me. The vest is doing it's job. ... show more
