I really like the product. It's actually really nice looking and looks much more expensive than it is. Whoever wrote the instructions has a great sense of humor and that's a good thing. I'm actually fairly adept at these kind of things, but my back has been slowing me down lately and I live alone so no help - however this assembly took me only about a half hour, including my "break time". However, when assembling the item, please be aware that on Step 8, the "D" screws are a hair too long and if you are not careful, you will screw them right through the topside of Piece #2 [the bottom]. See my pics to get an idea of what I mean. When you put it together, just go slow when tightening the screws, and use touch to ensure you don't penetrate the surface. It's a bit smaller than I anticipated. I measured according to the specs provided to ensure it would fit in my space. What I did not anticipate was how my 55" TV would fit on the top. The stands included with the TV are at the very edge of the cabinet's top, so I decided to get a center stand for the TV to ensure it doesn't slip off. ... show more

Depression excited for this piece to come in the mail. The first order got lost in the Postal Service so I had to get a new order which is fine and took about a week to arrive. The box was not too heavy and I was able to carry it inside and it was super easy to assemble. However the pictures make it look a lot larger. I had a black IKEA TV stand that I should’ve just kept that was a little bit large. I bought because of the wood and wait to match the room so I’m happy about that I just wish it was a little bit larger as the photos make it look like a decent sized piece ... show more

Once I received this console I realized that its different components are of varying quality. The doors are nice enough, but the faux wood on the legs were stick on wood pattern. Truly bizarre. However, it is sturdy and a fantastic value for the price. I was going to paint over the wood grain anyways so that didn't throw me off too much. For any prospective buyers, I recommend getting some chalk paint and varnish to give this console a facelift. Once that is done, it looked like a high quality piece of furniture. ... show more

Husband (who is very handy at assembly) had a bit of a time assembling this. Just a lot of pieces and instructions and you must do it in the right order. No huge ordeal, just took a while. It's not solid wood, but not expected from the price and description. Using for kids playroom for small TV, DVD and even an old VCR player. All fits well. Storage for DVD's and VHS tapes. Yes, I said VHS, but they are all Disneys and littles enjoy them. ... show more

    • Need long narrow screwdriver

It was easy to assemble except for the fact that at one point I needed a long narrow shafted screwdriver for some of the assembly. I had to borrow one from my dad who thankfully lived nearby but make sure you have one for assembly
