We live in Florida. Our metal garage door faces west and is in the direct sun. The sun would hit the garage door and the heat would pass through it and heat the garage. You could not hold your hand against the inside of the garage door as it was too hot! With the insulation up, we feel no heat passing through the garage door and the inside of the insulation has a cool feel to it. The window ac, refrigerator, and freezer in the garage no longer have to work as hard with the insulation on the garage door. Installation was easy. We measured and cut the product on our dining room table using a pair of scissors and a yard stick. Since we had windows on the top row, we reversed the insulation so that neighbors didn’t have to look st the foil. The sticky tape that came with the kit worked easily for us. Wow!!! This product has exceeded all my expectations, and I can confidently say it deserves a glowing five-star review. First and foremost, the installation process was an absolute breeze. The kit came with clear and easy-to-follow instructions, allowing me to complete the entire project within a few hours. The double sided tape is super strong and wont comes off even if i try to pull it off! The insulation's reflective foam core technology is simply outstanding. I immediately noticed a significant reduction in outside noise, making my garage a much more peaceful and enjoyable space. Additionally, the insulation provided an excellent barrier against extreme temperatures, keeping my garage cooler in the summer and warmer during the winter months. As a result, my home's energy efficiency has improved, leading to noticeable savings on my utility bills. We have noticed a 15 to 20 degree difference with our garage door temps after installing! This product was super easy to install and immediately lowered the temperature of the door from 116 degrees to 102 degrees from direct sunlight (outside temp was 106).     • Good Product - would recommend!
I purchased this product as an alternative to getting insulated garage doors from the factory when building our new home. The factory door insulation was R6, this was R8. A small difference, but it was also a little more than $300 cheaper. Positives - the process is easy to understand and you can customize to your doors as needed. Once completed I noticed a difference in the overall temperature. Personally, we would be happy to see an electric bill savings, but we mainly purchased to our cars are not really cold during the winter, since we have 2 young kids we take to school in the morning. The seller also included plenty of material. I made a mistake in cutting the material which did result in me running just a little bit short, I was able to work with the seller quickly to resolve my issue. Cons - depending on your style of garage door, you may run into issues like I did with the tape adhering to the doors. Our doors have recessed panels and they're metal with a "wood look" grain texture, so it's not perfectly smooth. The tape stuck initially really well. After waiting the recommended 24 hrs for the tape to tack up, the tape had come off in multiple areas. What I ended up doing was purchasing some construction liquid nail adhesive and using that in addition to the tape, to help seal the edges. Between the 2 methods, it's satisfactory. The product itself is decent and priced well (could be a bit cheaper). I didn’t get the same adhesive tape I see others get. Mine was a gel sorta of tape and it seems to be working well. Was a bit of a pain to use though. I also used a few self tapping screws to ensure it stays up. Cutting the insulation wasn’t too bad, but I did very little cutting compared to others. Just cut on the sides to trim the excess and a few slits fit around the door/hardware. I have the infamous piece of crap Wayne dalton garage door. If you have it, you know my pain. Anyway, in this situation, it made it easier to install. I didn’t bother to cut the insulation length wise, and just overlapped them a bit. It fit well and was easier to install than normal doors. FYI, on the top panel I install the insulation to the horizontal metal bracket (white side) and folded it down since there’s nothing at the top of that door panel. ... show more

Mike from the company was very helpful. My garage door was really big and he sent me the extra piece of material. Very easy to install. I would have given a five-star had all the tape stuck. It was an easy fix I just bought gorilla tape in white and put a piece on the material and it is sticking very nicely and you can't hardly see it because the tapes White and the materials White. If you have a Wayne Dalton garage door you just call the number on the packing sheet and ask Mike for directions and it is very simple to install on a Wayne Dalton door also. ... show more

I live in Sun City AZ. 110 plus degree days are common in the Summer. It would be hotter in my garage than outside. The inside of my garage door would be hot to the touch. After installing this product, the inside of my garage would be 6 to 10 degrees less hot inside than the outside temp. My only complaint was it is tricky to get the dual sided adhesive tape loose from its backing, which made the installation sometimes frustrating until I found a way to make doing it fairly easy.
