I installed two pairs of these on the front of my pontoon boat. The middle two are facing directly forward and the outer two are facing outward at 45 degrees. When a boat is approaching me I kill the middle two so as not to blind them. Once they pass I will turn them back on. It's still a shaky issue with marine patrol on using these as " running lights " when they should only be used as " Docking lights ". I've not been pulled over yet but my honest reasoning if I do is, that I have almost hit so many idiots who have anchored in the middle of the channels, fishing at night, with absolutely no marker lights, that I really don't want to kill somebody based on their stupidity. I used to hand hold a Q Beam while I was running, but these make it so much easier to navigate. ... show more

These light up the yard just as good as my headlights. Very good reverse lights, this is how bright factory reverse lights should be. I have them tied into my cargo light switch too. May get another set for dedicated cargo lights if these hold up. Just cut off the switch on any of the generic aftermarket light wiring harness available out there, and tap your reverse light wire into the red wire and tape off the other 2, and they come on in reverse. I tapped my cargo light hot wire to there too, so they come on with the factory cargo light switch. Or just buy a 40 amp relay and wire it up yourself with 14 gauge wire. I used a kit because it came with a nice neat connector for the relay. ... show more

Did not expect much for the price, but pleasantly surprised, they do exactly what I needed them for. In high beams my truck has low illumination in the wide and near range, these so love it. Now, gave it 4 stars because they’d re a pain to adjust when mounting to the bumper. Need them close so they don’t get hit and that makes it impossible to adjust, once secured. So had to secure them, aligned them, use tape to keep them in place, remove them, secure the rear hex bolts and then re-secure them to the bumper.     • INACCURATE DESCRIPTION - NOT 240 WATTS AS CLAIMED !

These lights are not 240 watts (120 each?) as claimed. I was skeptical when I noticed that the wire gauge on each light was only about 18-20 gauge, so I lowered my fuse size to 7.5 amp as a test and was surprised when the fuse didn't blow. If they were 240 watts as claimed, they would require a fuse of at least 20 amps. In planning for perhaps brighter lights, I wired my relayed circuit to 30 amps using 12 gauge wiring to two Deutsch connectors which use 14 gauge wires. For now I'm keeping a 10 amp fuse in place so that the fuse should blow before the 18 gauge wires going to the lamp melt. These lights are also more towards the flood spectrum as there is little to no spot capability and don't shine nearly as far as my halogen low beams. I mounted the lights behind the grille of my 2012 4Runner and they do fill in where my stock low beams do not, similar to ditch lights. They also are overall brighter and whiter than my halogens, so I will be keeping them. ... show more
