I needed a solution to cover my outdoor entertainment and prevent my electrical from the elements. This particular box is what I was looking for to hide and protect what I needed. This held my power source, lepy power amp for my deck speakers and sub, and of course the Amazon echo device. I have another box located up in the railing of my pergola that contains a Gosund plug which I can tell My Amazon Echo to turn on from within my house which powers this box to turn on and power my music with enough extra power for future projects. It was a little pricey, and its not as rigid or thick walled as you would hope for but it does the job. Keeps sensitive electronics dry outside, so can't complain there. I wish there were knockouts and the latches aren't fantastic. It warped a little from the install, which makes closing it a challenge. there are four screws which are useful to ensure it stays water tight, but also make it a pain to access anything inside. I ordered this to put an Industrial PC out on a controls cabinet at a job site. This site is outside in the weather, though the side of the building this is on rarely gets direct sunlight. I needed something that would be weather resistant, once installed, to keep the industrial PC running and not shorting out. This thing is perfect for my needs. I mounted the Industrial PC at the top, routed the power from the small UPS to it with ease, added all the extra 'connections' with water-resistant connections to the bottom (Network, USB, HDMI, etc.), and routed the power cable through a water-tight connection so that everything going in is secured through water-tight or water-resistant connections. Then, I powered it up and closed the door. This enclosure, with water-tight and water-resistant connections from another seller on Amazon, allows me to place this industrial PC anywhere I need to, connect power and network, and walk away. I've tested using an internal LTE connection (mounted on the backplane with the Industrial PC and the UPS (strapped down, since it doesn't have any mounts) and have a complete package unit that requires only power (to power up the UPS) and network (for connecting to the devices I'm working with) - Otherwise, it's a complete package unit. Pros: - Weather-resistant, though I've only tested it in an environment without direct sunlight - Water-tight, tested using a water hose in different angels prior to, and post, installation of the internal equipment - Spacious - I have room for my Industrial PC, a UPS, and a Cellular Connection device (it's not a Hotspot, but it works just like one, minus WiFi) Cons: - I've found no issues with this enclosure as of yet. Nice sturdy and weatherproof box. The plastic mounting grid in the back makes it easy to mount multiple devices inside. Conduit openings at the bottom work great for running high and/or low voltage wiring to external devices. Vents on the sides allow for airflow to help cool items inside.
