  • Taste is fine if you put it in something like a smoothie (UPDATE! Vanilla version is better!)
Flavor Name: Unflavored Size: 1 Pound (Pack of 1)
Did not come with a scoop inside, so that's kinda annoying. I'm just using my 1/4 measuring cup as a scoop instead. 1/4cup is basically equal to 64cc or 4tbsp, the serving size. EDIT: Found the scoop! It did have a scoop, but it was really buried down deep in the powder, even though the jar only comes half-full because of compacting down during shipping. So go digging in your powder and you'll probably find your scoop. It smells faintly of peas and it will taste like horrible pea chalk if you just eat it by itself. I strongly do not recommend putting this in water. You need to put it in a smoothie or sauce or something so you can barely taste it. I do a morning smoothie every morning: 14 cups spinach and 2 cups orange. It's a huge smoothie and I can still taste a hint of peas from behind the spinach. If you do smaller smoothies, then you might want to do 1/2 serving size so the pea taste doesn't overwhelm. I doubt many protein powders taste that good unless you dump a ton of sugar and fat into them. So don't expect "pea chalk" to taste good by itself or in a glass of water. Put it in a smoothie or something else and it should be fine, even if you can still taste a hint of peas. UPDATE: While the plain Naked Pea powder is fine, I really wanted the taste of peas to be toned down a little.... but I didn't want to add bananas or anything else to my smoothie. So I decided to try out the Vanilla Naked Pea powder. It's PERFECT. Having that bit of sugar and vanilla in the powder totally knocks down the strong pea taste and my smoothie tastes great again. I don't think you have to have the vanilla or chocolate favored version if you're putting enough stuff in your smoothie, but if you think the plain pea protein is still too strong, then definitely try out the vanilla or chocolate version. It makes such a difference. I did also try out the vanilla flavored KOS protein powder because its rated as the "best tasting" by many websites. I did NOT like it. It was 10000x times TOO sweet. It was giving me a headache and a stomach ache it was so sweet. It was so overwhelming that even with 14 cups of spinach, I couldn't taste ANY of the spinach, all I could taste was an atomic bomb level of vanilla sweetness. That is seriously strong stuff to be able to overwhelm all of that spinach in my smoothie. So I'm definitely sticking with Vanilla Naked Pea. Just a bit of sweetness to make it pleasant and hide the pea taste without giving me atomic bomb levels of sweetness that literally cause stomach aches and headaches and make it impossible to taste anything else in your smoothie. I do NOT recommend putting plain Naked Pea in water to drink. Definitely need to put it in a smoothie or something else. But you might be able to put the Vanilla or Chocolate version of Naked Pea in water and be OK. It really does knock down almost all of the pea flavor, so the main thing you're tasting is vanilla or chocolate, even in plain water. ... show more

  • High Protein to Calorie Ratio, Drinkable
Flavor Name: Unflavored Size: 1 Pound (Pack of 1)
I was worried having read some reviews about the flavor of this powder, but I decided to order because the protein to calorie ratio was good, and the product is vegan. I purchased the unflavored powder and mixed two scoops with 8 ounces of vanilla almond milk. I poured the mixture into a small waterbottle with a screw on lid (so that I could shake it) and then put it in the fridge for a few hours to allow the powder to dissolve. The mixture was drinkable. To me, it tasted like Playdough smells. Kind of salty aftertaste, but not too bad. It's not worse than any other protein powder I've had, and I think it could easily make a good smoothie, or maybe be mixed into overnight oats or the like. I'm giving it 5 stars for having above average nutritional content, and a flavor that's not worse than any other. ... show more

  • Great product
Flavor Name: Chocolate Size: 1 Pound (Pack of 1)
I wasn't sure what to expect with Naked protein powder so I bought the cheapest size. Having tried it for a few days, I'm happy to say that it's great. It tastes a bit like soy milk. It also blends very easily in water; I just add water and stir and I don't have to deal with clumps. I bought the chocolate flavor but it's so very subtle that the chocolate flavor is practically nonexistent. It's also more expensive than another brand that I tried, but tastes about the same. So while this brand is great, I'll be buying the other brand instead due to the price. ... show more

  • Great vegetarian, no-sugar, ONE ingredient protein powder
Flavor Name: Unflavored Size: 1 Pound (Pack of 1)
Here's the thing: you need to compare apples to apples. You can't compare the flavor and blendability of this protein powder with your run-of-the-mill vanilla, whey powder with 20 ingredients and fake sweetner. What you want to do is compare this to other vegetarian/vegan protein power options. With that in mind, this is a great option. And the best part? It's 27 grams of protein and ONE ingredient. I have tried a few vegetarian protein powders, but they were chalky and kind of gross, and I can't tolerate whey protein. I decided to give the naked pea protein powder a try after I started strength training again, and I think it's a great option. I use it with the Naked brown rice protein. It's not perfect, but for a non-whey, non-sugar, unflavored powder, it's good. Even plain, the flavor is pretty benign, and it causes me no stomach issues. I add it to my smoothie every day, and it mixes relatively well. I have a high-speed smoothie blender, so I'm sure that helps. The smoothie has chia seeds, banana, a splash of orange juice, frozen berries and the protein powder. The banana and berries sweeten things up enough for me. This is a great option for me to up my protein intake. ... show more

  • Not the best tasting but
Flavor Name: Unflavored Size: 5 Pound (Pack of 1)
This protein is healthier than the normal proteins that contain heavy metals. The taste might not be the best but when i paired it with coconut water and blended it, i must say it was awesome. Try it with coconut water you might actually like the combination.

  • Actually surprised
Flavor Name: Unflavored Size: 1 Pound (Pack of 1)
I like going to Jamba Juice and tropical smoothie and sometimes I feel like they only add one scoop of protein. So I figured I attempt to make my own. But honestly they have the best smoothies mine didn’t come close to theirs. Anyways, I enjoyed the protein didn’t have a terrible smell although it has that protien smell which isn’t the worst thing in the word. It was sealed, had no clumps, the scoop was easy to find and it was easy mixing into my frozen fruit with juice. There was no after taste but you can tell there is protein which I don’t mind. No graininess which is huge for me. My stomach is sensitive. I will know something doesn’t sit right usually within an hour. And this did not bother my stomach. No bloating. No gas. This was my first time trying it, so I’ll try to write once I’m done with this 15 serving size container. ... show more
