    • Perfect solution to my quandary
I have a corner shower, 40"x40", with a 9 foot ceiling and tile that goes up to 83" from the floor of the shower pan. It's lovely, but a headache to enclose. Glass is not only expensive, but my water is hard enough to give you a concussion during a shower. I basically have to use a shower curtain and for years I had an IKEA ceiling rail with a custom 108" shower curtain. All my finishes are oil rubbed bronze so the aluminum really stuck out, to me. I saw this and wondered where it was 10 years ago. I ordered it, it arrived undamaged and I put it up immediately. The instructions are adequate but it's not rocket science. I threw away the cheap wall mollies they supply and used my own heavy duty anchors, but I couldn't use the ORB screws. I painted the silver screw heads with brown nail polish. I had to trim both lengths of tubing, but it cut easily on my miter saw with a wood blade in it. It's aluminum tube so you could probably use a copper tubing cutter or a hacksaw if that's all you have. You put the cut ends in the brackets so it doesn't have to be perfect. Once up, I installed the ceiling support and hung my still unusually long, but commercially available, 84" shower curtains. Yes, plural. One for each side. The rod is sturdy, doesn't sag and because it's aluminum, it won't rust. It looks great and I'm very happy with it. ... show more

Kinda expensive compared to the others out there but made much better. The piece that connects to the ceiling needed to be cut down with a saw. But it looks beautiful and is worth the price.

For whatever reason the previous owners of our house originally installed a circular curtain rod over this square shower, and I just accepted it as is for a decade, despite the hassles and decreased space that came with fitting a circle within a square. Finding a 36" x 36" assembly was more difficult than expected, but here it is for anyone else with a 36" square corner shower! Installation was super easy. The wall plates appear to be sturdy and with 4 screw points per plate, I'm confident they are plenty secure for the job. They aren't particularly decorative, but they don't stand out visually in a bad way either. For my installation, I used a ceiling support left over from the old circular rod, since it fit the new rod diameter perfectly and was already the 12" length I needed. The included ceiling support seems fine, but I didn't feel like cutting it to size since I already had one. Cost more than I would have preferred, but it is the exact product for my exact need... ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is so far the best stainless steel item I ordered. It is in the shower, obviously wet location, we have humid climate as well, and for more than two years it never had any tiny rusty spot. Amazing. Other than that it is a very high quality rod. Thank you Amazon!
