I shopped long and hard for a perfect area rug for our master bedroom. This rug is beautiful, but I am quite disappointed that we received a factory second. That was not stated anywhere in the description. As you can see from pics, the edge binding has two areas - one that the edging was not caught at all, giving a frayed appearance, the other with binding excess hanging out from underneath the edge, giving a ragged or fringe appearance. Needless to say, these flaws were not seen until rug was unrolled and placed. If a discounted price for a factory second had been the case, or at full price paid with no defects, this rug would receive 5 stars. However, to return and wait on replacement, plus having to pay a handyman to help us move furniture again to remove this one for return and replacement, we will have to just settle for live and learn. We will always have to be extremely careful with these two edges each time we vacuum. The pattern, texture, color, and overall appearance is otherwise stunning. ... show more

Carpet is beautiful but isnt meant living room or master bedroom use. Carpet is beyond thin with the burn out parts of just rough backing material. Think cat scratch pad. This isnt what i would want my kids to sit on or play with in the living room or what id want to step on at the end of a hard day/first thing i step on when i wake up. Returned so cant comment on the stain resistance or ease to clean. ... show more
