Honestly, if "life" stuff hadn't gone hectic when they arrived, I would've returned them the next day. The biggest issue is the packaging. While Twilight and Rarity are held in by shaped depressions which work fine, the three others are restrained around the middle by stiff plastic tag bands. It kept them from wandering, yes, but cut into the plastic itself. I was hoping they might become a little less visible a month later, but they're still eyesores and, of course, on the display side. This is the case on all three, though it's a little harder to notice on Starlight. On the accessories front, they've graduated from counting solid-color hair-bands as 'items' to, um, stickers. Good luck getting those to stick to a pony. The headphones and hair-band were made for a soft-maned pony so they don't sit well on any of the included figures. Still, if you wanted this set, you'd probably have some soft-maned figures around, just don't expect DJ to wear them. Also, it appears Twilight got into a fight and lost, judging from the black marks and tear-like glue buildup on her face. At least Rarity looks fine..? Still, one not being maimed/severely flawed out of five figures isn't great. Reordering's pointless since the packaging's responsible for the waist marks. It's disappointing that this set is such a trainwreck, since I got a set of 'Unicorn Party' minis that are also recent releases, and they're all fine. ... show more
