  • An inexpensive "nostalgia trip" that delivers just the bare bones necessary for gaming.
• There are 500 Nintendo games included, although there are a few duplicates, and a few strange 'game conversions,’ like Island Story modified with Mario being inserted as the main character in “Super Mario 19” (a game which never existed). There are some good games, some bad games, and some ugly ones. • You select your games through a menu that shows a handful at a time, in alphabetical order – if the game you want is deep in the list, be prepared to spend some time flipping through the menu pages. The menu background music loop is continuous and annoying, with no way to silence or change it. No headphones are supported (at least, not 3.5mm ones). The speaker is fairly good for the simple Nintendo sound. • The buttons are reasonably good. The main 'rocker' joystick is okay (and compact), but I feel it would have been better as a D-pad like on the included extra gamepad. Unfortunately, you can’t use the second gamepad for single-player use. • The ergonomics in general are mediocre, but functional. It’s not particularly comfortable to hold, but you can easily reach the controls. • The screen is good for the size. Bright, and with good color. There’s no way to adjust the brightness, however. • The Reset button is the only way out of games, and always takes you to the language choice between Chinese and English. In other words, you always have to pick a language after every game. • There is no documentation for any of the included games, so you'd have better played them in the past. • While it does claim to support “TV-Out”, this is a composite RCA video out designed for old-school CRT standard def TVs. Anything modern will not cut it. • For the price, this is a great ‘grab and go’ nostalgia trip, but I don’t see this being the ‘go-to’ gaming device for anyone. Once you’ve gotten your fill of playing these old games, you’ll probably put this in drawer and forget about it. ... show more

  • Nice Emulator Unit
I still prefer higher end gaming and used to take my Switch during business trips, but felt it was a little too bulky; I really like to travel light. Regardless, I still like older games that I grew up with and was excited to find this. The unit is extremely light weight, but does feel really cheap. Aside from that, the controls are pretty responsive. For the more difficult levels where you have to push buttons in a hurry, I did notice a slight lag which gets a little annoying. As with the games, don't expect any top notch graphics as the games are still mostly pixel games, but is fun to play. I also like that the unit is rechargeable and comes with cables to connect to a monitor. This will not replace any other higher end emulator systems, but for something small and simple, this is a perfect alternative to take on a plane and stay entertained. Overall, really good with some flaws that are easy to get past. ... show more

  • Great for traveling when you don’t want kids to lose higher end games
This isn’t going to replace your higher end gaming systems. But for a trip or something to have laying around ar grandmas this is great. Pretty basic and simple but still a lot of retro fun to be had. The biggest complaint I have is the retro charging cable. It is mini usb, which is very outdated and means keeping tabs on a separate cord for this. Mini USB hasn’t been common for a long time. And not that the micro usb (which replaced mini!) is being replaced by USB-C this is a very outdated charging cable. But just keep the cord with the unit, because you also will want to keep tabs on the weird tv adapter. ... show more

  • Nice portable gaming unit
I love having the option of having all these retro games that are used to play as a child in the palm of my hand. Everything works really great. It just kind of throws me off at the beginning where you have to choose English or Chinese. The only thing I found that I don’t like is the Control stick on the left. It’s a little sticky and sometimes delayed response. I’m hoping the more I use it the more it will loosen up and be more responsive. Besides that everything works really well and even like the extra controller when you hook it up to the TV ... show more

  • great cheap distration
This is a decent little gaming system at a great price. The charger is old school so do not lose the cable unless you have an old cell phone charging cable drawer full of old cables. Its lightweight and kinda on the low end side of quality, but its only $31. This was a great item to take on our road trip as cell signal was lost and the kids get board easily. This kept them entertained and not complaining so it was the best thing to have and more than worth the money! ... show more

  • Overall good game
I got this game for my teen who loves all things video games. Pros: Games work well, good sound and graphics, graphics also good when in TV mode, controls work well, so far long battery life, small and portable, does not have to be hooked to TV to work, lots of games to choose from, classic games are fun. Cons: TV mode only works on two player games, two player controller less sensitive than the hand held unit, no joy sticks so precise movements more difficult. ... show more

  • Interesting But Interface for Game Selection is Frustrating
It's super cheap plastic, which is to be expected in the low price range. The biggest issue is that the game selection involves cycling through each and every game. So, if you want to play game 1 and then game 500, there's no choice but to go through each game in between.

  • Charger is 90s.
Great little game. So many fun old school options to play. Sadly for me it is all over shadowed by the charger. I have not seen the charger for this since the 90s. Looks like the the thick micro USB. I do not care for having to keep track of individual chargers rather than going with the standard options of c or micro usb ... show more
