We have the skip hop changing pad, but we like this one much much more. It is well cushioned but waterproof and has little non slip pads at the bottom that keep it in place. It is light but durable too. Really happy we got this one. I can tell that both my toddler and infant prefer this one.

This changing pad is comfortable (sometimes my baby and I will just hang out after I change her, I’ll stand over her as she babbles and kicks her legs contentedly), and provides secure support while I change my baby. I can buckle her in for safety if I need to grab a change of clothes or refill her diapers/wipes, and the pad fits a number of covers we’ve purchased online from different shops, so it’s pretty universal in that regard. The pad is also a perfect fit to the tabletop changing station we bought from another store online, so no fear of the pad shifting around as my baby gets older and more wiggly. Stays in place, curved edges make it easier to keep a wiggly baby in place, easy to clean. Only dislike is the buckle. Never turn away from the mat and don’t find need for the buckle in general. I tuck it away in the sheet but would be nice if it could be rolled up or something rather than flinging all over when changing the sheet. Overall, we like this changing mat. The standard size makes it easy to find covers that fit. The material itself is easy to wipe off and clean. I like the non slick component of the bottom. However, I wish there was a way to remove or move the straps. I understand they are an important safety feature. However, we don’t use them because of the design of our changing table.
