  • My new favorite multitool! 22-1 Perwin
Color: Silver Size: 22 in 1
Just started fiddling with it, but looks like a home run. Tool Weight is 9.0 oz w/o the case . The case is super light. Didn't bother weighing it. Spring loaded pliers with smooth handles that are rounded and easy on the hands. Very strong feeling. Stronger feeling (less deflection when squeezed hard) than most more expensive multitools. Replaceable hard wire cutters. (They are bypass cutters). Just tried it on a 14 gauge electrical wire. Cuts OK. The blade is a plane blade, a little beefier than the wave, and very sharp. The blade is one handed access when closed. the saw is sharp and seems fine. It has a nice sewing awl. Could be a tad sharper. (The can opener could also be a tad sharper. Easy to do myself). There is a fold down wrench thing for 7, 8 10, and 14 mm nuts. The File is awesome. Diamond file on one side that feels like high quality, and standard steel cut file on the other side. Love it! It has big robust scissors that just worked fine trimming a thumb nail. When you open the scissors, pull hard until it clicks, which puts the spring into action. The plastic rocker type release on the inner tools takes a second to figure out. Not a problem. It has a real 3D phillips head with a decent shaft length. Greatly prefer that to the 2 D removable type. It has the standard can opener, bottle opener with a couple flat heads on the end. And one of those blister package package opener things that also look like a pull type line cutter. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks good at first glance. It came with a nice stiff ballistic nylon belt carry case that fits well with no rattle, closes with a snap button that has the hole in the center, and a Kydex (I think) belt clip that opens at the bottom so you can leave your belt on and install or remove the case. The bottom of the belt clip is like the letter "C" so it will not fall off the belt. The bottom of the case has a water drain hole. the tool also has its own belt clip on it that can be removed. Everything opens and closes as it should. Nothing that breaks a finger nail to operate. A couple of my higher priced tools do not open so easily. No removable bit drivers, which is fine with me. If I need a bit driver kit, I consider that a separate tool. ... show more

  • Perwin or Myth Gear??
Color: Silver Size: 22 in 1
Well, I got a MG first and I liked it a lot. Then, I got my Perwin... Listed at 22 tools it beats 20, right? It should, if you can find the extra two! Both tools are exactly the same with some minor differences: 1. Perwin added a diamond file on the opposite side of the regular file. This extra item was compensated by MG by having both, metric and stand rulers there. Perwin has a metric ruler on the frame so in terms of tool count, is a wash. However, I rather have the diamond file than the standard ruler. 2. Both cases are nice, but Perwin added a metal clip on the back to give you the option of carrying it on the belt or a pocket/bag. Also, they added a hole at the bottom to get allow faster drying if you are caught in the rain. Someone was thinking of using this tool outside... Bravo! 3. Both files on the Perwin are really sharp while the saw not as much as the MG. The opposite is true with MG, having the saw super sharp and the file feeling a modest drag on your fingers. So, which one is better? Having a diamond file in the tool is a plus for me. Add to that both files being super sharp is great. I can live with a modestly sharp saw and measure everything in centimeters. Packing my multitool in my belt or bag with a well thought hole in the case is icing in the cake. Perwin! ... show more

  • Getting there!
Color: Silver Size: 17 in 1
Pros: Nice tool, nice price ($29 when I bought) nice finish, smart design, right selection of tools for my general household/yard needs, good locking mechanisms, relatively lightweight and compact, nice carry case. Main blade, saw, file and scissors are all accessible without opening the pliers and one handed opening and secure locking works well, except with scissors. Scissors are good size and quite precise with good spring action (see CONS for the scissors below). The seatbelt cutter style hook blade is small but useful for common cutting needs, especially in my case cutting zip ties, which the wire cutters are also good for. The pliers are good size, fairly well machined and have a quality spring action. The lighter weight compared to many others in the category makes it a lot more comfortable to have hanging on your belt all day, a major plus. Cons: Scissors are difficult to deploy and take a few extra seconds to set the spring and engage the blade lock. Good size and quite precise once correctly set. I had this same issue with another version of this tool (different branding but I’m pretty sure same manufacturer) and I sent that one back because it had other issues too. Overall, tool feels a little flimsy and when folded for storage, mine does not close evenly, but has some play in it. The main blade did not come especially sharp and the saw blade doesn’t seem sharp either. The file is also inferior to many I’ve had. The usual set of tools, can opener, screwdrivers etc are OK ish, but all are almost miniature size and you have to open the pliers for access. I’ll be keeping this one ... show more

  • Very impressive
Color: Silver Size: 22 in 1
Very strong. This beats the heck out of more expensive all in ones. Feels good in my hands. I wouldnt both with the models with "bits" for screws etc. (from ANY manufacturer) They rust, get lost, and are a pain to keep up with.

  • Pleasant surprise
Color: Silver Size: 17 in 1
I wasn’t really sure about this purchase. I looked a little complicated on how to open and close all the various tools and knives. However, this knife set is very easy to use on his common handy several times since my purchase. I’m very happy with the purchase.
