First morning after using this my hair was smooth, relaxed and wavy. Normally I have a tired-looking, tangled, distressed mess when I wake up- especially on the back of my head. It feels like the fabric didn't leech away my nighttime detangler the way that traditional cotton blend pillowcases seem to do. Same for my face, really. These are 100% silk which is great, exactly what I was looking for and what will really make the difference for your skin and hair. However, note if it’s your first time buying silk pillowcases or bedding: 1. Dyed silk always transfers, you’ll have to lukewarm rinse a colored silk a few times before placing it on white sheets or making contact with white fabric. 2. You’ll need a steamer to steam out wrinkles and keep them looking fresh 3. If you’re a drooler, you’ll need a pillowcase protector underneath your silk pillowcase to keep it off your pillow itself. 4. Hand wash. It’ll pill with a variety of fabrics, they’re pillowcases, wash them while you shower and hang to dry. These are lovely! ... show more

I am a male but I have longer than shoulder length curly hair (I am Italian). My partner (Latina) also has even longer and curly hair. We struggle with very bad tangling and knots and spend a good amount of time detangling (not to mention hair damage). These pillow cases work wonders for tangling. very smooth and silky. the one thing i find frustrating is an inherent quality of silk, not the fault of the pillowcase, it gets stains from hair oils, face creams, etc pretty much as soon as you put your head down. it is also very hard to wash those oils out since you are supposed to wash cold with gentle detergent. i use tide free and gentle, but i experimented by increasing the washing temperature to get better results. now i wash it in the warm setting, normal wash cycle but no other items, and no issues/damage to the silk with reasonably good results. but i dont let it go too long before washing. most of the time i flip to a new side every night and wash after 4 days. pretty wasteful on the power and water side tho. also kinda tedious i feel like i am always washing pillowcases. but the price of sleeping on a silk pillow i guess. i would never consider a whole set tho. cant see myself either changing the bed every night or sleeping in stained sheets. ... show more

They fabric is so soft but yet silky. I plan on ordering the matching sheets. I don't think they are that silky that when get into bed you slide off the other side like your traditional silk. I don't wake up with my face itching from the fabric and my complexion stays clear. I have naturally curly hair and I've been using this pillow case for 3 months now and it does really help tame the frizz. I don't look like a fuzzy lion anymore when I wake up. Lol. But like with any product you have to use it for a while and give it time to see results. It's definitely worth it. They are super easy to put on and take off your pillow. I don't even notice the zipper, it's sown in very nice and snug and is discreet. They dry very quickly even when you hang dry them as instructed. One of the best parts I like about them is that they seem to absorb the fabric softener very well. Maybe I'm weird but I love fresh clean smells like Downy. It's comforting to me. The material seems to soak up the oil from your skin, which is visible when you wake up and look at it. It looks nice and feels nice otherwise, so I'm not too concerned with the material. For the price, you can't beat it! I would still recommend it for the price and comfort.
