I’ve owned ruggable rugs in the past and feel they’re too expensive for what they are. Those crisp clear designs? They come with a price. They look great in photos but for day to day living they leave a lot to be desired. I was really looking for something that was softer and this is it! It’s very blanket like. I’d say it’s like a VERY low pile microplush blanket in many ways. The back is non slip and although I have a pad under it, it doesn’t need it to stay put. My 4yo spends his days boldly slamming himself into furniture and things do still slide on it. However it’s not quite as dramatic as when the couch is just on the tile. In terms of wash-ability I’d probably take this to a laundromat. I have one of the biggest machines available for home use but I feel like a commercial machine would be better. If only because of the weight of the rug. I think if you buy anything under 8x10 you could probably get away with throwing it in your machine, assuming it’s on the larger size. My only con would be sizing, biggest is 8x10 and realistically I need a 9x12 for the space I want to use it in. So it’s a smidge smaller than I’d like but it’s still doing the job. The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this rug! 1st, I have the 8x10 and it’s HUGE! Did not realize how big it was and honestly could have gotten a smaller one but I’m not complaining. 2nd, it is soooo soft! Feels like a blanket!! Great quality and its looks just as advertised. Very pretty. The only down side and the reason I docked a star is because it’s thin! Which for me is not a big deal at all since it’s on top of carpet so that’s perfectly fine but I’m not sure how well it would do in my dining room being thin as it is .. Overall I definitely think it’s a great product and I will be ordering again for other areas of the house, just probably not the dining lol I have not washed it yet so no comment there! It is on the thinner side, but very soft. One review said the instead of using the vacuum to clean it since the suction was too strong. he used his romba to vacuum it. great idea if you have one. I bought a couple of rugs and loved this brand and pattern so much, I returned the other rug to buy from this brand/style, beautiful and soft. Highly recommend. My cat (of course) pukes up a hair ball that same day, and it cleaned up well.
