This provides plenty of cushion for your feet. The back of the mat is very soft - so you may still need something to hold it in place - but if your floor has any texture to it at all you shouldn't have any trouble. I got the tan/brown color - which is getting harder to find something in that shade that looks classy and not cheap. This does the job. Ordered two Mueller Home 'Austria' mats based on stellar reviews. Pretty sure the Austrian intent was a decent product. However, with zero quality control, they bagged and boxed these in China for our enjoyment. Both mats have 8" deep double roller marks depressed into the top surface. The roller lines press deeply into them, quite obvious at a glance as the depressions cause the ends to roll up. It flattens as expected if you stand on the creases. Amazon shipped the pair double boxed all boxes undamaged. The mats were packed this way from the factory. Made me mad as they flat pack these which helps eliminate curling and damage. Both curl and are garbage to us. But again, cost of return is more than the value. Tossed them in the trash. I will clearly remember their name with the cute umlauts over the 'U' as it should read: ChinaHome Junk with umlauts over CHINA. ... show more
