I use this carrier once a month to take my aunt's chihuahua to have her nails clipped. It's held up for about a year now although it gets limited use. I like that one side opens only half way so that I can pet and calm her without fear that she'll get out. I also appreciate the amount of mesh so that she gets adequate air flow. It's great for small dogs (she weighs 6 pounds) or cats, but the bottom definitely wouldn't hold up to my 15 pound cat! ... show more

This works great for my cat, put it in take to vet, can unzip a little for them to pop head out if needed. Can carry by hand or on shoulder. Made sturdy and easy to clean, although I use a pee pad just in case, in mine.

i would recommend this carrier for smaller animals, like rabbits or guinea pigs. we have a very small cat (under 8 lbs) so it works for her, but it’s not very sturdy on the bottom. you’ll definitely need to carry it from the bottom for some support, as it kind of folds in on itself when there’s weight (a pet) in it. overall it works, but i’d only recommend it for short travels to & from. ... show more

All three of my felines love this and sleep in it. It was originally bought for my kitten (10 weeks, 5 lbs) but my tomcat (2 years, 15lbs) and my queen - the technical term for a female cat (1 year, 12lbs) both love to curl up in it and sleep as if it were a box. I normally keep all 3 carriers (2 hard, and this soft side one) open and available to them to sleep in so they're use to it when we travel, but sometimes I find one of the older ones curled up with the kitten inside it. I finally used it to take my kitty to the vet. It's great because it's mesh and she can see through it. I need it to be a little more sturdy on the bottom but I can fix that with some padding. Otherwise it's really nice and easier to take her out of than the hard plastic cage I used to have.
