Volumetric efficiency has a decisive effect on torque, the greater the volumetric efficiency, the better the engine torque. What does it represent? The higher the engine torque, the better your car's acceleration, hill climbing ability and load capacity.

  • I'll give it five stars in spite of myself...
First and foremost let me point out this thing runs on a subscription service. After the first year, there's a charge. I wanted to be really bothered by that, as I've never had an OBDII reader with a subscription service before, but now as I've been using this a lot the last week for electrical and relay work on my Dodge Magnum, actuating various systems and relays to check continuity and decide which systems are bad, it's worth the money. This device does exactly what it says it does, and allows full service-level inputs into your car's system. Just about the only thing I think it can't do is rewrite the VIN in the computer, and I haven't tried so I'm not entirely sure that it can't. I know for sure it can actuate all three of my radiator fan relays independently as well as live and freeze frame data, so it's leagues ahead of everything else in the same price range. Connects easily and looks as though it should work with any OBDII protocol. And has almost all the service-level features of the thousand-dollar SnapOn brand one. ... show more

  • Scanner works with their program only.
I am familiar with OBD2 dongles as I have a wifi scanner that I use with two specialized programs matching our cars: Dr. Prius and LeafSpy, both of which work with many dongles on the market. However I could not get either program to work with this MUCAR OBD2 Scanner dongle as it requires a proprietary program created by Mucar. After creating an account with Mucar and activating there OBD2 scanner, their program does allow many settings and tests. It actually can get various information on your car if you provide the VIN. You can choose between Metric or Imperial measurements in your settings. It comes with one year of service and is designed to pay for service afterwards. For a professional this may be well worth the cost, but for an occasional home user it seems a bit steep. ... show more

  • Essential Tool for Car Owners
This OBDII vehicle diagnostic scanner is a must-have for any car owner. It’s incredibly easy to use and provides accurate diagnostics for a wide range of issues. The setup was straightforward, and within minutes, I was able to identify and understand the check engine light on my car. The real-time data monitoring is also a fantastic feature. This tool has already saved me a lot of time and money. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • It started out looking strong but ended up just not getting there.
First thing is first. One you have to use there software and only there software with the adapter even though it's just a much better built variant of the other cheaper BT devices. But hey I get it everyone wants to be a apple now a day's. After you get over that the adapter is will made that for dang sure. But here comes the kick once you setup yet again another "free" account you now have to scan the QR code only found on the very small and easy to lose joke of a manual. Or type in all the information. The two things it wants pat of them is found on the adapter body but the other part again is on a sicker on the very first page of there joke of a manual. I don't know about you but I have worked in more then my far share of shops in the past and the very last thing you want to mess with is a lot of little pieces of paper that's going to get covered in oil and God only knows what else and ripped and torn and shoved God only knows where. Well I thought okay well maybe once you register the device on your new yet again free account that hey what would happen if say you lost your phone and had to replace it or deleted the application something along those lines and you are like most guy's pitched that joke of a manual in the trash once you had done the setup. Would it remember it in your account and you still be able to use your Bluetooth adapter or not. Well yes and no. Yes it does keep all that information on it's cloud service not your phone. Because I have had to on the fly uninstall an application and reinstall it by side loading it more then a few times over the years. So I don't like the fact that you most have internet connection at all times for this thing to work. I know yeah yeah WiFi this 5G that. Yeah and there's a lot places that still don't have cell coverage or they don't have WiFi of if they do the shop your in blocks it from getting to you. I'm not going to walk back to my house or jump up on 6 stocked up pallets just to try to get a one bar of Internet to turn around and go back to use it and then once your done and it stops talking to the device then the next time you want do anything with it you have do that dance all over again. Nope sorry not flipping happing. Then the software is really nice as long as you got a newer car or truck that can send all the extra data that this thing is wanting to know from it. Otherwise it a way over priced hand tool that much slower then one you can just plug in and in 15 seconds read and clear the codes and go. Also I couldn't for the life me get the dang gum thing to show me my speed in MPH not flipping KPH some stuff does show right with the US setting set in the app where other things don't. I'm fine with litters on my engine or fuel so long those are US not metric. If you are going to push something like this in the US and expect someone to pay up for it better dang will do what you say it can and more. It seems like it a sold device but the platform as a whole needs a lot of work to be asking the kind money of a Snap on would. ... show more

  • Helps a great deal with fixing my car
I have an elderly Suburu, and as happens with elderly cars, there are frequent breakdowns, both minor and major. it had to wait a bit until I could use it on a problem, but then my roommate gave me the idea to use it for diagnostics BEFORE my camping trip, so I did. I'm still working through all the things it does- I'm not a mechanic, I'm at best a parts swapper- but I found it fairly easy to use- the instructions are helpful. The only drawback I found was having to have a subscription. That, to my mind, makes this more appropriate for a professional mechanic, or perhaps a racecar or other type of car enthusiast. Good value, who ever you are :) ... show more

  • Really wanted to like this, but the required subscription fee makes it too expensive
I really wanted to like this. I have another Mucar scanner (CS5) with a 5" touchscreen that performs similarly and costs about the same. I was hoping this would be superior as it's more portable and with the app potentially more versatile. But - and particularly if you have an older car - it's usefulness is limited to what the car's ECU will allow the device to do. If your car is older, you might as well just buy a cheap bluetooth scanner and an app like Torque - you'll save yourself a bundle. To make matters worse, adding a $60 annual subscription fee or else the expensive tool become useless makes the long-term investment in this device a poor investment. I'll just stick with my bigger, more powerful, fully self-contained Mucar CS5 scanner with it's lifetime free upgrades. ... show more
