Traditional umbrellas are difficult to close after getting into a car, but this umbrella is different. It closes outward when pulled inward, making it less likely to get wet. Additionally, the wet surface of the umbrella does not remain exposed, so the inside of the car and your clothes stay dry. It’s incredibly convenient! Absolutely love this umbrella. I started a new tradition a several years ago, with my children. Instead of using baskets for Easter. I use umbrellas, as they can use the umbrellas all year and usually they are ready to be replaced the next year. Baskets just kept pilling up, with no use. My son is Transgender and absolutely loves this umbrella. It is beautiful and well built. I’m sure this one will last more than one year, as he is 13 years old now…lol. I definitely recommend this umbrella, it is very big and it closes outward, which I love…have bought ones like this before. It dries quickly and very easy to use. If you like my Easter Umbrella Idea, you just turn the umbrella upside down and fill it with candy, toys, whatever you would normally put in a basket. Usually there is more room in an umbrella. This umbrella is nice and wide to cover your whole body, the inverted design is great for opening from within a car (as they suggest) and it's also good because it helps the umbrella dry by allowing water to run down if you lean it against a wall with the grip side up. I had the chance to try this during a really windy rainy day, overall it performed great. I stayed dry, the material repelled water and didn't absorb it (obviously that would be bad) and it dried quickly once indoors. The wind didn't pull the umbrella inside out, collapse it or destroy it, it resisted the wind very well but calling it "windproof" is a bit of a stretch, your hand and arm definitely will be tugged around, it just isn't as bad as with other umbrellas. The handle is nice but their depiction where you can balance it on your wrist to free up your hand is fantasy, maybe on the moon to shield you from micro-meteors but on this planet that's not happening lol. It could use a textured grip on the handle because it gets quite cold but works well nonetheless. You could smear or spray some plastidip to make one yourself if you wanted. Overall I'm glad I bought it and recommend it. I've always used small cheap $10 umbrellas and never really cared about the quality of my umbrella but I figured for once I should try something new, buy at least one good umbrella with intention, this one was a great choice. ... show more

I suffered from when the wind blows my umbrella gets broken, in Oklahoma the wind always blows... I am so glad they invented an umbrella like this, its inverted and it hasnt broken on me once, this is the longest I have ever owned an umbrella haha. best invention ever!
