We had an artificial tree for more than 15 years. It looked nice, but had to be assembled branch by branch and the effort eventually made us look for something easier. The Mr. Christmas tree we bought was really easy to assemble right out of the box. Put down the stand, fit the three parts together, plug in the lights, and it was ready to decorate! The tree is nice and full, the tips of the branches look very realistic, and the lights are very generously provided. And being able to control them with Alexa was a real bonus! This tree looked great in the photos, and I love that it is Alexa compatible. The light colors and sequences are really good, and it was very easy to connect to Alexa. However, the lights seem to have some sort of defect because sometimes one light will go to a different color scheme, or just come on by itself. The tree itself is awful. It is very poor quality, and no amount of fluffing or shaping (or ornaments) gets rid of the many "holes". The branch hinges are very cheaply made. If this was a $150 tree, I would expect this, but certainly not worth double that. I will be returning this due to the defective lights. Too bad, because the lights would have made it worth keeping the crappy tree if they worked right. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’m obsessed with this tree. Only complaint is that there is not a “soft white” light setting, so we had to get some new LED bulbs for our star on top of the tree so that it would match. Otherwise, you can set it to a color and it’s be fine! VERY easy to assemble. I thought I’d have to do something to get the lights connected and working...but nope! Turned on Alexa and all three parts of the tree turned on with it. Amazing! I’m so glad we invested in this tree. We went with the 7’ and it fits perfectly in our apartment. ... show more

    • Cool idea, a little shaky on the execution

I got this tree for around $100 as an Amazon Warehouse item, and for that price, I love this tree. However, at its suggested retail, I would recommend waiting for another generation to come along and fix some of the problems with this tree: The good: 1) I love the interactivity with Alexa, with lots of light colors and color animation options like flashing, fading, sparkle, firefly, etc. 2) I absolutely love that the parts come together easily and automatically are connected electrically to each other, so no fishing wires from section to section 3) The base is solid and holds the tree without wobbling 4) I like that the branches are hinged to allow for easy storage and unpacking 5) After 30 minutes of fluffing, the tree looks fairly realistic. After you hang ornaments on it, it looks pretty real The bad: 1) The initial pairing to Alexa was difficult, it took several tries before it connected to the tree. 2) When you connect to the tree, it starts out in demo mode. It took me maybe 20 minutes to figure out that my tree wasn't broken, but that the demo mode is not overwritten by my voice command. So the tree cycles endlessly through a bunch of colors and modes. In the alexa app, you can turn it off with a slider, and then (and only then) does it respond to voice commands and stay in the mode you asked for. Sigh. 3) The blues, greens, and reds are all uniform colors. But for some reason, the white is a mix of blue-white and yellow-white. Why? I like a soft white, but instead, I get no choice but to see the blend of two whites. I hope future iterations of this tree will pick a lane and stay in it (how about a blue white or soft white option for the entire tree?) 4) All the blinking modes are too fast for me. I am reminded more of the Las Vegas Strip than of a serene Christmas scene. The firefly effect is cool, and so is the twinkle, but the transitions should be at least half the speed they are now. So, I ultimately will keep this tree due to its bargain price and voice-activated coolness. But Mr. Christmas company (if that is your real name), some serious improvements need to be made with this tree before it is anywhere near being worthy of its asking price. ... show more

    • Rip-off and NO customer service

I bought this tree last year. I was so happy it was gorgeous. A few days ago I set it up. No lights. Power converter was the problem. Emailed customer service no reply. Found another converter. Now only bottom 3rd of tree lights up. For two days I tried everything. I’ve never purchased a good tree before. Money is tight. This one is so bad I’m thinking of filing a complaint thru BBB or AG. Perhaps a class action lawsuit. I’m not kidding here. It’s a shame. They knew these trees were trash and they still sold them. I want 100% of my money back. ... show more

Loved this Christmas tree at first. Hooks up to Alexa and has many different light settings and colors. However after 3 Christmas's one of the bulbs blew out and changed the colors of a whole row of lights. I lost the spare bulbs that came with the tree and tried contacting Mr Christmas customer service (you can only email or chat and took a couple of weeks for someone to respond after sending multiple chats and emails. Because the tree is not under warranty, they said they could not help me. I said that I would purchase the replacement bulbs and they said that they no longer carry the bulbs. So, hold onto your replacement bulbs or you will have a tree that doesn't last very long and have to replace the whole tree instead of buying a $2 bulb replacement. ... show more
