I tried the rack on my 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R and sadly it would not fit even though the chart said it would.. With the supplied hooks, the rack will not lay flush on the roof. It seems like a good product and well priced and that it would do the job. I want to carry a canopy tent that does not fit inside of the car. I contacted seller about the rack not fitting on the car. They immediately and very generously offered to give a full refund without needing to return the product, and to go through all of the hassle of packing up and shipping it back! Order came and upon opening the box I quickly found out there are no installation instructions. None. So as I figure out how to put the thing on the car one of the cheap plastic mounts breaks. The bolt literally pulled all the way through the mount just by righting it by hand. No tools require. It broke from hand strength. No refund option available so they say they will ship another one. The day it was supposed to arrive it says out for delivery. Arrive by 8pm. When 8pm rolls around it changes to now arriving a week later. Don’t bother yourself with this junk. Great product. It comes with 3 mounting options for different vehicles. The actual product surprised me for the price, its great. The build quality is not the best but a few upgrades should do you good (I would recommend replacing the "Big Knobs" with an actual nut with a washer. This keeps it tighter and eliminates the problem that someone could take off the top of the rack). The racks are solid and acts as an extension of my car. I installed this alone but I would recommend having a friend to help you out when putting them on your roof. Makes little wind noise and is solid enough to haul snowboards. I bought this for my new kayak addiction. Vehicle: 2013 Chevy Cruze Assembly was easy, installing was a bit more challenging. Took be a bit cause of the curves of the top of my car. Tip: put the feet slightly in more than where you think they should be, so when you tighten there is tension. If the feet are too far apart it won’t tighten enough and the bar moves around. Once I got it on tight, worked very well for what I needed. Took a few road trips, held up great. The 3 hour windy mountain road, no issue. Only issue I had was on the 8 hour freeway drive, 80 mph the whole way, the front bar shifted back a few inches. I believe because car frame was narrower further back it vibrated back at the higher rate of speed. But still didn’t have to worry about coming loose. Won’t lie, at first, I was slightly nervous I didn’t get it installed right (cause I have that kind of luck) and I’d be going down the road and POP! there goes the kayak and rack. Of course it didn’t happen. It’s sturdy, holds my kayak and fits well. Didn’t have the wind tunnel noise, or whistling. Good product for a reasonable price!!! ... show more

As usual the instructions are not quite accurate. Step by step is not quite clear. You really need to assemble it all "loosely" and then fit it to your car. Now, I stated it's for a 2012 Scion xB and a box popped up that stated "this WILL fit your car". I beg to differ. Utilizing the longest of the 3 sets of grip clamps to go under the door rim, they barely have enough length to hold the cross bar correctly. I moved the front rack as close to the front as possible and the crossbar still a bit short in my opinion. The roof trim lines fan out wider as you go to rear of car so the back rack will not sit without the rubber base separating from the top part. Once everything is tightened it does seem sturdy. Also, last night it rained and the front passenger side door water leaked in where the clamp was pushing the weather strip out and filled the small hand well on the door and overflowed. No mention in instructions about the 4 little rubber protectors you put on the bottom of the clamps to secure to the car and not scratch paint. I had to figure that out for myself. I bought this set because it had a 4.5 star rating, and I need to carry kayaks on my car. Not sure if I want to keep them or not. If the supplier has a longer set of clamps it would definitely work. ... show more

I got the item and it just took me a lot of my time and a bunch of figuring out but in the end it has all ready Hauled two of the three rims I needed to haul with the old heavy original equipment tires and rims. It does work OK.... at least on my Volvo S 80 that That I had no way to haul things on the roof. Although Volvo this and other models DO HAVE pre-drilled & threaded insert holes in the door jams near the roof where the rack goes… (Probably for a Volvo expensive Factory roof rack); I wasn’t able to Utilize these mounting holes since the spacing was about 5 inches wide on each… I got a roof rack now! ... show more

Eventually I got this thing to fit my car, a 2008 Yaris, but it was a huge headache. The instructions are terrible, and the fit leaves a lot to be desired. Worse, though, is that the protective rubber / silicone pads meant to protect the car do not stay in place, so as I adjusted the fit and form, they came off and scratched the paint off around my door. I’m keeping them - I need them for the summer - but these are not the solution I was hoping for, nor what was advertised ... show more

I bought this to attach to my car since it didn’t have a rack and we are planning on going skiing next week. I installed it as soon as I received it and it was really easy to assemble and install on my car. I was able to do it without help. I have been driving around for several days with this on the car and it hasn’t made a single sound, doesn’t rattle and is very sturdy! I will update after mounting a ski rack on it and driving into the mountains with it on. I really don’t foresee any issues but will update nonetheless. Also really looking forward to mounting my kayak on it in the summertime! Update: These worked beautifully on out ski trip! No movement whatsoever and we’re very sturdy.
