  • Best engineered and designed rack there is
Unbelievably well designed rack for carrying boards on a bike. This is coming from the perspective of a scrutinizing meticulous engineer who has had every type/brand of rack ever brought to market as well as built their own. These are amazing in design, flexibility and craftsmanship. They are super easy to set-up/install with various mounting options. Once installed, super easy to load and hold my various coveted longboards safe and secure on the rough and bumpy roads here in Costa Rica. I’ll admit i was a bit skeptical at first having never heard of the brand and thrown plenty of cash at crappy chinese bs, but these are the real deal. They are fantastic and i think will hold my SUP but not tried that yet. I love em and will definitely buy a pair for use in the states. Pura Vida! ... show more

  • Sweet Rack
I've owned other surfboard bike racks, and this one is top notch. I installed it on a three speed Hang Ten cruiser, which has the old-school springer fork on the front, and a welded on rack in the rear. I also have the large Wald delivery basket on the front. With the many different pieces of hardware and mounting options, putting the MBB rack on was super straight forward. With the springer fork, I simply rotated the mount around on the front head tube. This bike has room between the top bar and bottom bar on the head tube and it worked perfectly. I went ahead and used the rear bike rack to mount the rear MBB rack. I easily could have used the seat post, but I wanted a bit more space between the two rack arms. One hint I'd like to give is that it helps to put in the L-shaped upper tube (the upper part of the tube that the surfboard will rest in) into the mounted tubes before you tighten them down. This will allow you to properly align the direction of the padded surfboard tube arms relative to the bike and each other rather than just eyeballing the clamps. If this does not make sense now, it will once you have the rack and begin to install it. I highly recommend this surfboard rack. It is well built with quality materials. It would definitely be an odd-ball bike that this rack would not work with. Keep the stoke alive! ... show more

  • Nice Rack! Actually Great Rack!!
First of all, the rack was said to arrive in three weeks, then 4 days. The racks arrived in a day and a half. Right there was awesome. Installation took about 5-10 minutes without using instructions. Pretty easy to figure out. The rack is quite versatile as well. It easily adjusts for height and is removable so I can just ride my bike without racks getting in the way. Being removable also means I can choose which side of the bike I want the rack when I need. I’ve carried a 6’1 and I’ve carried a 9’0 with a board bag. The rack handles each board well. My buddies with other rack brands were quite jealous of mine. Awesome rack and speedy delivery from seller. Thanks so much Moved by Bikes! ... show more

  • Use the rest, this is the best
I have been using my bike for taking my surf board out with two other racks and by hand (forget that!). I had a previous system which used a bike rack that wasn't really for longboards so I looked around and decided that based on the reviews this was the one to purchase. 1. What's in the box?: You receive in a nicely done box, the rack broken into pieces. Basically there are the attachments points for three things. The front post attachment, the seat (or rear post) attachment, and a bike rack attachment should that be needed. Plus, instructions and a sticker (cool!). 2. Installation? Honestly, the installation was far easier than I realized since the directions say watch videos on the website. I didn't because I didn't feel I need it, but if you need help they are there for you and are fine. To install you need a 10mm wrench and an allen key. If you don't have there I suggest finding them because otherwise installation won't be easy at all. Essentially, you just use the two posts provided for putting the front rack around the bike and using the bolts and nuts and then putting on the reach seat rack most likely doing essentially the same thing. 3. Use?: Fantastic. Though this thing actually has some give, this is great because riding over bumps does cause some vibrations. So there are two pieces. One fits into each attachment and there are teeth so unlike my previous rack, this is not moving around (don't do the final tighten until you play with the tube for the rack as you may want to adjust the thing a bit depending on your board. Once the rack is in place, it clicks with a satisfying click and you are ready to go. It works and it is a little more expensive but in the end I think well worth it. You can also attach a leash of you want for doing your dog around which is nice too. Overall, very nice. ... show more

  • I dig it.
This is a well thought out and put together package. It goes on easily, with multiple options and is well built with solid components. I bought this one and another brand from a brick and mortar surf shop (gotta support the locals) for 2 beginner surfers in the family. The MBB seems like it will be more stable, has more mounting options, and was cheaper. It seems more stable simply due to the fact that the arms are mounted farther apart from one another; as opposed to the other rack in which the mounts for the arms are welded into a rear rack. I preferred the other version for my bike for a few reasons, but the MBB is perfect for the intended user. I should say, we haven’t used them, yet, but my first impressions are thus. ... show more

  • Excellent product and excellent customer service. Highly recommended.
This rack works great for my 9' board - attached it to a Trek mountain bike. The variety of adapters that ship with the rack make it easy to fit various bike configurations. The ability to easily take the bars on and off is the best feature - because I use the same bike for commuting and riding trails. ALSO - great customer service. My hamstring was occasionally rubbing against the back bar. I contacted MovedByBikes and they responded immediately with an idea for a solution. They shipped an adapter to me and all is well! ... show more
