Description

The convenient 5-Gallon All-In-One Hanging Deer Feeder from Moultrie includes a collapsible plastic bucket with a programmable feeder kit that's a breeze to set up. Just add batteries and feed, then find the perfect place for it to hang. A tapered hopper with a collapsible design saves on shipping costs and shelf space, while a built-in funnel keeps feed from collecting on the bottom and sides of the bucket. This feeder requires just 4 AA batteries (sold separately), making it a great option for backyard feeding. Feed should be around .25 inches in diameter or smaller on its longest side. Whole, clean kernel corn is recommended. Corn mixed well with soybeans or protein pellets can be effective; however, mixing could cause clogging depending on the ratio of corn to the additive or type/brand of the additive.

I’m really happy with this feeder. I bought a second one a day later. Super easy to set up, built well, looks good, easy for one person to handle and a good price too. It holds 5 gallons of corn and the lid goes on tight. The timer has four settings. To start off, I’m only using two feeder settings for two seconds at a time. You have the option of up to six seconds. I wasn’t sure how much I would like the feeder but once it was set up, I’m really glad I bought it. It only takes four AA batteries. Advertised as holding up to 50 lbs but shelled corn was approximately 35lbs max till full otherwise very simple to understand and easy setup and versatility is second to none !!!

I have feral barn cats and finally found this affordable feeder with timer to feed the cats! It works great and now the raccoons aren’t eating 20 pounds of cat food a day! I have it set to feed at 7 am and 3 pm at 4 seconds! It puts out plenty and yes still cat food left for the raccoons ! Love this product! ... show more

    • Easy to use
I love this thing so far makes life so much easier than a feeding bag. Downside it’d be nice if it was a little bit bigger it holds about 35 pounds worth of feed corn. But so far it’s worked fantastic. Setting the timer and learning how to test it took a minute but other than that it works great.

I bought this product to feed the deer and other animals when I went on vacation. Upon testing the product before vacation I found out that it was not reliable. Different settings is nice but one setting emptied the whole bag of corn with trouble. It made an awkward noise like it couldn't close. Sounds like the motor has trouble spinning/distributing the corn. I used regular whole corn(no molasses)I didn't want to reuse the corn on the ground an risk damaging the product so I bought another bag of corn and a lower setting and hardly anything came out. I set the time properly and schedule properly but between the awkward noise, the unreliable amount of corn distributed,and the product just simply not working I ended up buying a different product. This product was easy to put together as it is only a couple of pieces. It is light weight. It is priced fairly reasonable. Personally I wish I paid a little more money at first for a different more reliable product. ... show more

I've had it up for about a week, so far. It feeds when I programmed it to. Nothing has chewed through the top, yet. Even though I did have 7 squirrels in one picture, the other day. It seems to be well built like all Moultrie products and I think I'll get another for my other property.

Really good little feeder and holds a good bit of corn. Set at 10 seconds dispense time once a day corn lasts well over a week when filled to the top. Not the most intuitive to program or change settings on when hanging. Controls are under the spinner and pivot downwards to access. Can be difficult to see if feeder is not mounted high enough to avoid bending to see clearly. Same alkaline batteries for several months and still going strong. ... show more
