I was very surprised with this feeder. The setup was easy and the motor for the spreader is pretty strong.The lid can be a little bit of a pain to put on but once you get used to it , it’s no problem. It also holds a good amount of corn .I set mine for 5 second runs twice a day and it actually dispenses a good amount of corn. It gets me through a week before refill. I would recommend this to any hunter that changes locations during the season. It’s easy to move and can be setup in minutes. Great product . ... show more

    • It works for bird seed, but not peanuts! Haha!
When it first dispensed the squirrels all FROZE... for about 2 seconds and then ran over to see what made that cRaZy noise. I like it, I think it's a very good value for the money. I debated over 4 or 5 stars. 4 because it's a teeny bit chintzy, but ended up at 5 because the price does reflect that. It's incredibly easy to set up the timer -- no instructions required, but it is a little tricky to get the hang of putting the feed in it -- when it's not hung on something, the feed keeps falling all over the place. So my advice is: hang it up before you load it, and... make sure the baffles are all, ALL the way down. One of mine was hung up which explained half of why the feed was falling out. Amazingly simple to set up and start using. I use it to throw chicken scratch for my chickens twice a day. The only complaint I could have, is that the sections don't stay locked in place good, and sometimes while filling it, the top ring will collapse down, and have to be reset.     • Great Chicken Feeder!
We bought this as an experimet to feed the chickens while we are out of town. They have feeders that hold food, but they really prefer some scratch and food thrown out on the grown. Worked so good, we bought a 2nd! You do have to turn the amount down as low as it will go, because scratch is smaller than deer food, but it works great. You can set a timer very easily for how many times a day and length of time. You need to play with the setting to get what you want. Once that is done, just keep it full! No more worries about feeding all my ladies! ... show more

Brand new batteries and the screen would not power on. Double and triple checked batteries. Nope. It just doesn't work. There are a lot of reviews like mine on this product. I think I'll find a different brand and not waste my time.
