I wanted something affordable that would keep me safe on my brand new motorcycle and boy does this check that box. I got the red option because I wanted to be a little more noticeable when wearing it. The mesh is breathable (which is a must as I become over heated really fast/easily), there are straps around the arms, sides and back area that can be adjusted for a looser or tighter fit. The only problem I have is the waist strap, that wraps around your lower torso and waist, doesn’t go as tight as I need. I have a really small waist and the velcro doesn’t go as far around to the back as Id like. I appreciate that there is tailbone protection. Sizing is pretty accurate in my experience! If you wanna look like Batman, GET THIS, but if your goal is to be as safe and comfortable as possible I’d look elsewhere. The armor is cheap plastic and not shock absorbent CE armor. Additionally it is very restrained in movement and uncomfortable, the mesh is super cheap and would rip in an instant if you crash. That being said, if you’re going for a ride in the summer and just wanna look cool and have a little bit of protection this definitely does the trick. i mean, it looks cool and it does seem like it will save your skin if you go down. however, after wearing it on the second day of owning it, one of the straps on the right shoulder broke so now the armor piece there can move around freely which worries me a little bit as in the event of me going down, i would hate for the armor to move and for my shoulder to be turned into a crayon on the road. update: the seller saw my review and contacted me, they offered to send me a replacement or a refund and i chose a replacement. i provided my shipping information, size and color and the seller shipped it out as soon as it was in stock and frequently touched base to see if it had arrived. they were extremely professional and polite throughout the entire experience. ... show more

I got a XL so I can wear hoodies underneath, I can but it's still tighter than I'd like it to be and there's a weird pointy bulging at my stomach area were the jacket tends to ride up on me. I like the style and coverage the armor covers, I think the mesh material used should be of better quality. 1. I am a female 5'9, 200lbs, 39" waist, and size D chest. I purchased an XL which is the size I wear in my regular shirts. When I first put on the jacket it appeared to be much too big for me but after adjusting all of the straps it was a perfect fit. I adjusted the straps and wore the jacket around the house for a while to make sure it was comfortable. After making a couple of adjustments I was ready to hit the road. This upper body armor has an elastic kidney belt with velcro closure installed, and the front zip up with no issues (be careful not to snag the mesh fabric). There are also two adjustable elastic criss-cross straps on each arm, and two adjustable straps on each shoulder. There are elastic velcro straps under the arms, midway the chest area that will tighten the front plate to the back plate. The back plate is removable though I would never ride without it. The mesh material keeps you cool during hot weather or you can wear it in cooler weather under a jacket. At the end of each sleeve, there is a hole for your thumb to help keep the sleeves in place. I chose to buy this armored mesh jacket from GOHINSTAR because of all the positive reviews and there were very few negative ones. I am very glad I did because I was having issues with the back plate being too long. I emailed customer service, and they responded the very next day. They immediately resolved my issue without requiring me to provide proof with photos. Would be happy to do business with this seller again It came very securely packaged in a long box, with no assembly required except possibly removing and repositioning the back plate. ... show more

It's for the most part somewhat comfortable... it has breathable material so its good for people in the south... I live in a very warm area for most of our months but really felt the need to get this to learn how to ride a Honda Grom... I feel protected and as i have had prior injuries to trying to ride the Grom I felt it's necessary for sure. I like the fact that it's so adjustable (I ordered the Small/Medium) and it fits just fine just make some minor strap adjustments to it and be sure to adjust the "belt" someone else that could help would make I definitely easier on you. It seems very safe and prective thus far. I typically wear a size small to medium (prefer a medium) in a unisex t-shirt and it fits just right it's just a little short but i have a long torso... overall I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more
