Even if double the price this jacket is fantastic! It fits as it's advertised and you are really protected, for sure! It has plenty of pockets, the fabric is super durable and there's plenty of padding to keep myself feeling safe .... and safe in any situation. I really like the way this jacket looks, and how bright it is. It is heavier and warmer than I thought it would be and is very well made. I am 5' 10" and 160 pounds, and I ordered a medium. It is snug when the quilted liner (which extends into the sleeves as well) is attached and fits great with the liner removed if I am only wearing one shirt. Probably should have ordered a large. Comes with easily inserted shoulder and elbow pads. The additional pad for the back is cumbersome and feels weird even after I trimmed it down a bid, but I am trying to get used to it. I can always remove it. The jacket has some padding in the back already sewn in. Definitely not a warm weather jacket as the two zippered vents in the front are too small and don't really allow much air to get inside. The opening of the outside zippered hip pockets is too small, especially if you have large hands. The pockets themselves are plenty deep enough. The main zipper oddly works left-handed, but that actually makes it easy to zip up and down while the bike is in motion. I do feel protected and safe (and look good) in this jacket because of the high vis color and padding. Great value. ... show more

It's impressive how well this jacket is made. I've had many of the big name riding jackets over the last 50 plus years, and this one is on par with those at a significantly lower price. It's only been tried on with, and without the armor. And with, and without the liner. It fits perfectly with all features installed, or without them. The only 'negative' is the zipper is on the left side instead of the standard US zipper on the right side. But I'm sure I'll get used to that. The liner has a pocket of its own, and with the liner removed, there are 4 in the jacket itself. Plus the two zipped chest vents could probably be utilized as pockets. There are also two zipped vents in the back. Does not feel restrictive at all in the riding position on a standard street bike. I think it was a very good purchase. ... show more

This is excellent. I got this to match the pants I had already. The armor is good, and it is so customizable with flaps for cooling, a removable liner, removable armor, and tons of cinch adjustments with velcro or snaps. I will say, I think it is a bit too warm even with the liner out, when it is over 90f outside, but I think that is any jacket in the sun, really. I will be VERY glad to have this when it gets into the cooler part of fall. ... show more

I don't usually write reviews but I'm so impressed by this jacket I took my first ride tonight at 55° out and I was going 70 mph on my bike and could not feel wind coming through the jacket at all. I'm positive it will be waterproof too based off of the fabric and the material and based off of how well made it looks. All of the sewing in the craftsmanship of this build quality and the fabric they use is just amazing. I'm thinking for $100 I couldn't find anything better than this for any jacket of any sort. I bought a double XL and I usually take an XL and it fit me perfect so I think you will need a size up. Buy it! ... show more

    • One of my favorite Jackets

This jacket became one of my favorites. I have several from different companies. This is right up there with them. I like the fit overall but I wish it would be a bit more snug on the sides and a little more form-fitting. The bottom velcro straps do help with minor adjustments. The ability of this jacket to repel wind is great. I like the color. I got the black one. The quality is good and worth the price you pay for it, maybe worth a bit more than the price you pay so there's the value proposition for sure. Unlike some I have tried, this one does not flap around from the wind. Some jackets that I tried that are not made of leather, have a way of flapping around the shoulders and biceps when the wind is pressed against it as you ride. This jacket stays in form despite the wind and feels lighter than my leather jackets. However, if you want to fork out some dough... Dianese make great jackets. ... show more
